Wow interesting to see the amount of mentions Akmal got even though he wasn't in the team. Also add to the fact the amount of Azhar doubters there were not many expected him to achieve anything.

Now he stands as one of Pakistan's top 10 test bats for sure. With a staggering average of 47 as an opener close to 5000 runs and runs almost everywhere. Talk about humble pie.

On topic I feel Azhar will surely pass the 7000 test run mark comfortably, after him I would like to think once Babar find his feet in this format he will feast on teams like he has done in ODI's.

I think shehzad too has the potential to go past 7000 once he get rid of his mental block , test format suits him and the number of flat wickets we play on should suit him.
