I think Shan will do well but once again not convert.

My vote is for Babar

Asad Shafiq Sahib doing well in side games so good chance.
 
Asad and/or Babar. The only 2 batsmen that can deal with extra bounce and pace. No one else comes close

Australia is not a lottery for batsmen when compared to the pitches in SA. They will do good. But Babar might have to bat with tail most of the times and they will be wiped out by Starc.
 
People are overestimating Starc. He didn't do anything against India and not much against Sri Lanka

Tbh I'm more worried about Cummins
 
Most likely Babar Azam, if not it will be Shan Masood.
 
Despite doing well last time, Azhar will struggle I feel.

Hopefully Shan can do decently.
 
There's a lot of pressure on Babar, I think, with all these commentators going on about how this should be his series to show himself as a great test player, etc.

I hope he does well.

I think Shan might be the top scorer though, since he played so well in SA and seemed in good form in the warm-ups. So I selected him, as the dark horse.

The other guys like Azhar and Shafiq could also get a big hundred in a single innings that could leave them as the top scorers despite not doing anything much in the other innings.
 
I'm voting Rizwan.

Yes, he's struggled to adapt to the bounce. But in Brisbane once the Kookaburra goes soft after 20 overs it's a dream time to bat for the next 60 overs.

If it happens, I’ll accept that you deserve a kudos for any prediction/analysis on Test cricket in Australia (with Kookaburra ball).

Is there any chance of a batsman "surprisingly" injuring himself and Umar Akmal coming to the rescue. If then, he would be my pick :yk2
 
It will not be overhyped Babar Azam.. he needs to score some tough runs.he is not in top 10 test batsman list at the moment
 
Asad and Babar top contenders at the moment, hope more emerge for Pak in next game
 
I hope another 100 from Babar and Asad or Rizwan scoring a ton.

Let's see but Babar sounds like an obvious choice.
 
Looks like Babar leading but I say again, Rizwan could over take him.
 
Yasir Shah - The 2nd highest run scorer for Pakistan in the Australia series

While our dreadful bowling seems to be getting all the limelights of late, let me shower some light on our batting too.

Out of three innings played so far by our batsmen, after babar azam and rizwan, yasir is the third highest scorer with combined score of 92*. The other batsmen have scored the following:

Shaan Masoon- 88
Asad Shafiq- 85
Azhar Ali- 53
Iftikhar Ahmad- 17
Haris Sohail- 9 (2 innings)
Imam ul haq- 2 (1 inning)

These stats reflect a sad state of affairs in our batting too where Yasir shah can play as a batting specialist!
 
Yasir showing the grit and patience that is required from our actual batsmen. At this rate, Yasir will make the test squads as a batsman alone.

He's also a double centurion with the ball.. if only he didn't bat so well for the Australian side
 
Yasir Shah is now the second highest run getter from Pakistann

Yes you heard that right! Yasir has surpassed Rizwan's 3 innings total of 132 as he is currently on 134*. So technically, Yasir is Pakistan's second best batsman on this tour!
 
I will be 100% satisfied with this tour even if Australia loses this match by an innings, only if Yasir scores a century here.

This has caused more damage to Pakistan than good. Yasir will continue playing now due to this 100 on overseas tour and a good spinner (whoever that is) will miss out.

Anyways congrats for century.

Yasir Shah you CHAMPION. I really don't care about the series result as we were never expected to win. Yasir has given us a special ton to remember and most importantly, done some damage to the egos of some aussies and others. :salute

But seriously, only babar and rizwan and amazingly yasir had a decent tour with the bat.
I would retain asad and shaan though they both were very average but you cant add 5 new batsman to a team.
But we should add 3 new faces to the team. Thats still alot of new players at one time, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
Azhar,.imam, ifti and haris out of test side.
Haris can be retained in odis only.
And ifti can be retained in t20s only.
