Gill is a phenomenal talent and you have to be blind as a bat to not see it.

22 year old Ponting averaged 30 odd in his first World Cup (1996). Kohli himself couldn’t score a fifty after the opening game of the 2011 World Cup.

Gill hasn’t performed so far but the World Cup is not even over yet and there are many reasons why he didn’t deliver. It is his first World Cup, that too at home and he seems to eager to make an impression.

It is perfectly normal for him to have such struggles at this stage of his career. It is part of his learning curve.

It seems like desperate Pakistani fans will now target poor Gill to soothe their wounds and feel better about their humiliation.

He has owned Pakistan’s best pacer at both U-19 and senior level. That should be enough for Pakistani fans to not run their mouths about a batsman who is comfortably better than anyone they have and who is the next legendary Indian batsman.

When you say things like we will see heir transfer this WC from Kholi to Gill while mocking Babar, then don't complain when you are exposed for your lame claims early on based on your delusions and constant negativity.

It doesn't matter what happens later in years, based on your post you made claim this WC we will be seeing the crown shift (LOL), while Gill has been quite average half way through the tournament. I personally rate Gill highly but no one should ever make comical claims of transfering heirs or whatnot in a specific tournament, when such titlement gets transferred over a long term. Babar has performed well over many years so you dragging him down at every opportunity is honestly quite pathetic

it will be dream for many openers to have some one like rohit at other end.Not only he is batting well but also taking away all the pressure from gill by batting aggressively. Think Vikramjit Singh is the worst batsman in this WC, and boy hes an opener. Hrrible horrible batsman. His SR I believe is 50 as an opener ! Neth is better off if he's out for a duck in every game lol

Before the start of the World Cup, I was expecting Gill to do great in this tournament but he hasn't been able to perform at his best. Going into the knockouts, de Kock and Rohit Sharma are the two batters that can do a lot of damage to their oppositions and never count out Maxwell.
