I am expecting Babbar and Amir to be topping the charts for Pakistan.

From Australia, expecting Khwaja and Hazlewood to be doing great.

The Top Performers in Australia will be........

THE AUSTRALIANS !! I have absolutely no hope from this timid and useless lot !!

Azhar and Yasir Shah should top batting and bowling for Pakistan. Other players who could do well are Misbah and Babbar.

Steven Smith and David Warner will be our biggest nemesis. This Pak team is absolutely hopeless will be very lucky not to get white washed 3-0

Australia: Warner, Smith, Starc and Hazlewood.
Pakistan: Babar Azam, Sami Aslam, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Amir.

I think Younis and Misbah will each produce series along the lines of:

3 + 0
2 + 15
25 (batting with the tail) + 0

I remember Gooch and Gatting failing in Australia as old men. And they were both considerably younger!

What about Usman Khawaja? You think any particular Pakistani bowler might trouble him?

Sami Aslam has to face Starc and Hazlewood up front. Will be very tough for him imo.

Younis Khan, in the second innings of the third Test match.

He doesn't move his feet, and is often out cover driving.

Mohammad Asif would bowl every single delivery three inches outside off-stump on a full length and get him out cover driving.

But Sohail and Wahab haven't got that accuracy.

I am not a Wahab fan, but I have a feeling that he will rise to the occasion. Pakistan will still be whitewashed, but Wahab will impress.

Best ones will be
1-Babar
2-Sarfaraz
3-Amir

Worst:
one and only: Younis Kahn

From PAK side -

Babar, by some distance. He is the only player with back foot game, can hit on rise & can dominate bowling. If he gets protection if new ball from his openers, I back him to get couple of hundreds.

In bowling - Yasir should get bag full of wickets; partially because of Aussies weakness against spin & partially because Misbah will bowl 200 overs with him.

For AUS, definitely Josh - he bowls the length which exactly what you don't bowl in UAE, hence it'll be trouble.

I'll not be surprised if couple of debutants or recent new entries enjoy a great series. Oblate, PAK players are groomed in worst possible system, hence they have very little capability of adjusting game or adopt a strategy to unknown players. It takes 2/3 Tests for them to find loop holes of a player or adjusting to new condition; which probably players from better system can do after 1st innings of a Test. Hence, I won't be surprised if Aussies find their Raval & Groundhomme in this series.

For Pak:
Batting
Sharjeel (if he plays, he will score at least 2 fifties)
Azhar Ali (Will play slow, but will score the highest runs for Pak)
Babar will be targetted by Aus bowlers. He will not succeed this time.
Bowling
Amir (will be highest wicket taker)
Yasir (Will have 1 5'ver and a couple of useful contributions)

For Australia
Batting
Warner (He will own Pak bowling badly in a couple of innings).
Steve Smith (will be the higest scorer in the series. A couple of tons and one daddy hundred).
Bowling
Starc and Hazlewood.
Starc will polish off tail and Hazlewood will remove the top order.
Lyon will own Pak in Adelaide. That is his ground.

I think our team is on a downward slope.

I'd be surprised if we got more than 1 century in the series.

Bowling is mediocre apart from Yasir.

From Pakistan -

Shafiq
Azhar
Amir

From Australia -

Warner
Smith
Hazzlewood
Starc
Lyon

Calm down yaar, this "timid and useless lot" before this NZ debacle went 7 Test series unbeaten for only the third time in its history.

PPers swing from agony to jubilation and back again so quickly.

In Melbourne and Sydney where pitches are flatter and drier we hopefully should give a good account of ourselves.

Normally I always back the team but I think our good times in Tests are over for a few years.

I'll go out on a limb and say YK. Australian pitches are nothing like NZ's where the ball was swinging 50 overs into the innings everytime NZ bowled. They have a bit of bounce but bounce is something YK can deal with, as evident in the Oval test which was played on the bounciest track of the series. Swing is what he has had issues with but Australia isn't exactly known for conditions that favor swing(or even bounce lately).

I think it will be Asad. He has been getting out on zeroes a lot lately. It is his time to play those brilliant innings here and there. Hopefully, they will come now in Australia.

Loving the negativity from the Pakistan fans. Pathetic really. We just lost one series in tough conditions after going unbeaten for so long. Pathetic loser like mentality from many Pakistan fans.

To answer the question:

In batting:
1) Misbah obviously
2) Babar
3) Azhar

In Bowling:
1) Not Amir
2) Yasir
3) Sohail only in first innings

I say that this series will be lost (if we lose it) by our poor bowling led by the most overrated bowler in recent times, Mohammad Amir. On these flat pitches, I do expect us to regularly post scores of at least 300. Think the batting will be fine.

not sure if I'll watch this series after what happened against nz. We might get demolished.

Younis Khan, If I am not mistaken he spent a season in Sheild cricket so he is used to the bounce more than others

The conditions eased out in the second innings yet the Pakistani batsman still fell like a house made of cards.

Hazlewood and/or Starc, Warner, Renshaw, Shafiqu to bounce back.

Maybe Babar.

People thought we would whitewash Windies, ended up losing a test in an embarrassing fashion.

People thought we would lose every test in England. We drew that series.

People thought we would beat NZ, we lost both matches.

People think we will get destroyed in Australia, perhaps the trend of people being wrong will continue?

Younis Khan, If I am not mistaken he spent a season in Sheild cricket so he is used to the bounce more than others

I don't see how four matches he played eight years ago will help him now. His technique is vastly different and his reflexes are far inferior than they used to be.
