As the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 approaches, Pakistan faces some challenges with their batting lineup. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are struggling with their strike rates, while Fakhar Zaman is effectively hitting the ball and showing aggression with an impressive strike rate. The middle order has become a concern right before the tournament, with Azam Khan taking on the role of a middle-order batter. Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan are also part of the middle batting order, adding to the uncertainty. Saim Ayub's performance as an opener and in the top order has become problematic. On a brighter note, Imad Wasim is ready to play at any position in the batting order, providing flexibility. With these dynamics in play, it will be interesting to see who emerges as Pakistan's top run-scorer in the World Cup.
 
It'll be rizwan who scores the most and his fans will start number spamming me and ego boasting sadly.

Rizzu will score the most because he opens, will face the most deliveries and will frustratingly stat pad and bat from 1 to 15.

Saim is a walking wicket, Fakhar at no 4 won't play as many deliveries as rizzu and even if he does because fakhar tries to attack amd go bamg bamg he'll probs give his wicket away while rizzu ducks 24/7.

Azam, Shadab, And chacha are walking wickets but even if they aren't they won't have the chance to bat that much due to the numbers they play.

Usman khan likely won't play every game and even if he does his playstyle won't allow him to score the most.

Fakhar is he opens has the chance to score the most but because he's aggressive he's likely to throw his Wicket away cause fakhar isn't interested in stat padding.

So yes in a nutshell, Rizzu or Bobby will score the most and their fans will argue Without rizzu and Bobby we are nothing.

Fakhar is in good form,if he carries his rythm so he might be the highest scorer from pakistan.

Haha not in Pakistan's case because our number 4 usually gets many overs to bat since our openers don't bother to stay at the wicket for long.

They do, people don't hate babar and rizwan for getting out early.

They hate babar and rizwan for sticking around too much. Infact excluding semi final, it was a blessing in disguise that babar and rizwan didn't function in 2022 wc. Given the way Bobby was playing against Bangladesh gane was over if haris didn't step in as well as that no ball and free hit 6 from haris.

Biggest frustration being the way Bobby played in 2021 and the way rizzu played the asia cup final.

Babar in 2021 left the team for 70-2 In 10 overs? It's a miracle we got so far with fakhar bashing and other players playing cameos. Granted bowling and hasan Ali messing up cannot be ignored either.

2022 is 100% rizzu and chacha's fault though. No one else especially when Sri lanka bowled a billion wides before the first ball lol, target was 157 not 170 thanks to Sri lanka help. And yet by the time rizwan and chacha departed Pakistan had to chase 60 of 24 with 2 new tail batters like nawaz at the crease 😂

In terms of runs I don't think we will see someone else on the top other than Babar Azam but I hope he score these runs at a good rate as well.
 
Why is Fakhar Zaman not on the list, but Imad and Shadab are?

Usman Khan not there either.

Really bizarre.
 
Babar Azam has scored the most runs for Pakistan so far, 57 runs at an average of 28.50 with a strike rate of 107.54

Mostly because they open and the others are crap players and fakhar never fires if he comes after pp which he did in all games lol of the cup.

Either he or rizwan were going to top score. That's how most t20 cups work with openers getting the most runs

When did Fakhar fire as opener in t20 apart from that tri series?? Fakhar is a mediocre t20 player and accept it.
No one apart from babar rizwan scored even 50 runs in whole world cup. Tells u the state where we currently stand. If our middle order is supposed to avg 8 then these strike rates are justified. Also 2 matches were in ny so dont mention sr much. The truth is no one scored even half century in all matches combined
If rizwan and babar are bad then what are others in this team?

As a captain he does not fit. Tell 3 wrong decisions by him on top of ur head without thinking much as he is a bad captain. 2 bad decisions were not giving super over to naseem and sending imad up the order. Apart from that first time he captained well with good bowlimg changes.

Okay, Babar and rizwan zindabad
 
First round masked a lot of flaws for Pakistan. Generally low scoring affair. Second round woudl have exposed more flaws. Going to WI without a proper spinner would have been catastrophic.
 
nothing really wrong with the strike rates. pull up the indian batsmen strike rates and they would be the same becuz of the pitches but obv could have been better. The real concern is none of the batsmen barring babar and rizwan could last 2 overs.

did we need 150 strike rates against india and usa or did we need to not collapse against india when we needed run a ball with 8 wickets in hand or against the usa when we were 3 down in the powerplay

This comparing babar and rizwan to crap players to justify their inclusion must stop.

Their sr's are crap, Plain and simple. They played 2 games in NY fair. Dallas was a road, Florida was an even game with both bat and ball having an even play.

No one told Bobby to bat like a snail on dallas against USA.

USA went to a super over because USA just like Nepal were inexperienced and choked, otherwise they were cruising and smacking us black and blue from overs 1 to 15. Look at how their top order was playing and look at how Bobby was playing.

This mentality of let's compare babar to crap players like chacha to justify their inclusion must stop.

No one looks at David Warner and says Yeah Warner should open because he's a better opener them usman Khawaja in t20. They say Warner should open because He's freaking David Warner, that's his reputation

I’m pretty sure you did need it in the powerplay, run down the score as soon as you can when you have an advantage of only 2 fielders out….

why should i compare babar to david warner when pakistan has usman khan and saim ayub not buttlers or rohits. Sure if babar rizwan were the best t20 batsmen in the world they would have taken down the ireland bowlers and pak would have won in 10 overs but for this team snail paced babar rizwan saved them from defeat against ireland. If fakhar saim usman azam ifti cant score more than 15 runs then why is the main focus on the strike rates of the two batsmen scoring runs. Sure they should have scored those runs at 140-150 but that is the least of our concerns when the rest of the batsmen are complete passengers

The point is to not compare at all. This whole Babar is crap but its okay because the others were bigger pieces of crap is not an argument.

Babar was crap in dallas, Crap in Florida plain and simple. His sr was poor, He is not a world class t20 opener.

If the mo is crap and babar is crap as well, then don't bother playing t20 world cup, Issue a boycott or refuse to play.

You play a tournament to win, Plain and simple. Their is no such let's love Bobby and hate others cause they suck more.

Bobby sucked amd was awful plain and simple. Nothing about the way he played is okay or NOT AN ISSUE LIKE YOU CLAIMED.

Shadab has been crap since a long while, in 2023 world cup only howler who bowled worse then him was Joe root? And he's clearly not a batter. He's a tailender who's 40 of 20's happen once ever 10 to 20 games and otherwise he fails? On what basis is he a no 5?

Azam hit a few sixes against Ireland on a school boy pitch. Otherwise he's crap in fielding and batting, why is he here?

Chacha has been bottling it since 2020, His Nepal game on a road pitch is his highlight lol.

Why dont you name alternatives please. Dont just argue kindly give alternative to babar. He is best no 3 in country and no one else comes close.
 
Whole team collectively scores 160 runs in 4 matches and the problem is babar azam. Fgs. Ur lucky charm saim azam and fakhar didnt do **** there.

That's because he's been playing at no 3 consistently since 2016 till now.

If you wish for me to say babar zindabad then just say so.

It's takes years to build a team. Pakistan can build a team but not with babar. He frankly has a poor attitude with his I'm a t20 anchorer nonsense.

You need fresh blood, one which has the attitude to adjust to modern standards.

If you wanna praise Bobby to the moon, by comparing him to 9ther trash , then be my guest but Pakistan should not be competing then and enjoy your crapola tournaments where Pakistan get butchered for the millionth time.

Alot of hoo haaa and we need to play aggressive look at England and austraila bla bla. Ehy dont you guys have a reality check that ur players are not good enough. Ur second coming of brian lara and ur own version of hulk couldnt buy a run in intl cricket.
Abdullah and imam played in 23 wc
Azam saim usman played in 24 wc.

Whole team scored 160 runs in whole worldcup combines. More runs were scored by shaheen and naseem then ur superstars.

So instead of blaming babar for everything get a reality check and accept that the talent is not good enough. U cant just copy paste a template from other nations who have players in abundance. Before jumping on babar again by seeing he selected the team..rmr these are ur best performers in ur recently concluded marquee event.
