Sure we got to the final but we lost twice to a team which comes from a country where cricket is still taking root.

If the Pakistan U19 is our future then its very dark! But if we are to assume that we can do better than that, then I would suggest that somone needs to take responsibility for the 'debacle' in Malaysia.

No walk in the park was expected but a loss in the final with that margin is unacceptable.

Its a sports game and better side won. Also U19 is supposed to be a development exercise. As long as it develops skill and installs better cricketing habits it has fulfilled its purpose.

The PSL should help Pak become a better cricketing nation overall, however your test performances may dip in the small to medium term. Long term the local talent, how deep the pool is, & FC structure is the most important thing that you need to take care of.

I don't think one should look much into performances in the this tournaments much, they are more sort of early stage of career, u still have to evolve in domestic and list A to be in the reckoning.

Unfortunately no one!! Its not our tradition to accept responsibility and resign. We have/had players over 40+ age, still playing/played both International, domestics and PSL and blocking younger players. I highly doubt whether PCB or selectors aware of these heavy defeats. I remember after 3-0 defeat, SK praises "We lost to a better team." That's the mentality.

No need to panic..

There are many teams that do bad at the U19 level
Look at WI they won their first U19 WC just one year ago

Pakistan has produced so many good U19 teams that we expect too much from them

Yes but we never gave them proper chances in their hay days and destroy talents

It's poor to get bundled out for such a low score to the same team twice in a tournament. Team management should be blamed as they clearly didn't learn from the 1st game.

We made the final. Afghanistan U-19 is a very strong side, proven by their performances. Don't think it's as bad a disaster as it's being made out to be.

We lost to Nepal.

This is not indicative of any future trend at senior level.

Atleast we did way better than the last time we played in this tournament.

Plus it could be a blessing in disguise..we can get some changes for the all important WC in January.

We lost to Nepal. What do you suggest for that? To Sack the coach? Things like this could happen. U19 is not the be all and end all.

By the way Indian u19 wont be strong like in the past due to 2 new rules imposed by bcci.

U19 players who is playing Rani won't be selected.

Player is allowed to play only one World Cup.

This means the cream of the crop won't play the world cup

Oh so no Shaw in this WC?

Half the Afghani side looked 25 years old. Just saying.

U19s are the basis for the future. Pakistan have a lot of faith in U19s and if they perform like this then there are some question marks.

no...not needed at this level plus it was bw u21 and u25 players so clearly the benefit was with the opposition.

How many U19 WCs have Australia won recently? A good domestic structure is what tou need

No one. I guess this will go under the radar.

It's not that big of a deal... in u19 cricket the results do not really matter. Sarfaraz as captain of the 2004 u19 side won the WC, but he is the only one who is still a part of the national side from that batch. The 2012 u19 side under the captaincy of Babar came 7th, yes 7th... and we have atleast 3 or 4 members of that team as regular members of the national side at the moment.
