Sunday April 10th, kicking off at 4:30pm UK time at the Etihad Stadium.

With 30 games played each:

1. Man City - 73 points
2. Liverpool - 72 points

Liverpool are on a run of 10 consecutive league victories, while Man City have stuttered slightly, winning 7, drawing 2 and losing 1 of their last 10 league matches.

2 of the best teams in PL history clashing in yet another potentially title-deciding game, it's absolutely impossible to call. Having said that, which way do you think this will go?

Will Liverpool, the form team, continue their dominance, or will Man City, who have the experience of winning the previous tight title race between these 2, produce a champions performance?

Discuss and vote.

1-1 draw imo, these sorts of matches often are.

I think City will just edge a tight game

2-1 my prediction

I think this will be a blockbuster. Liverpool will not want to leave it to fate in hopes that City slip up in their last 7 games. They will want to get the job done themselves.

Similarly, City will want to open up a four point gap rather than have Liverpool breathing down their neck for the remainder of the season with them contending for the Champions League as well.

Phil Foden: Manchester City forward explains why Liverpool game is 'the biggest'

Manchester City forward Phil Foden says Sunday's visit of Liverpool, live on Sky Sports, is "the biggest game" - and the one "all footballers want to play in".

Champions Manchester City host second-placed Liverpool with a slender one-point advantage at the top of the Premier League table in what is proving to be a captivating title race.

Foden tells Sky Sports the rivalry has grown to become "massive" since he broke into the first team and is expecting "the whole world" to be watching when these two foes meet at the Etihad on Sunday.

"Two teams fighting for the Premier League, very close on points," he told Sky Sports, "it's the biggest game and the game that all footballers want to play in.

"I think there is going to be a lot of neutrals watching it as well. It's going to be an entertaining game."

When City face Liverpool, the two sides rarely disappoint, as was showcased earlier this season with the frantic 2-2 draw at Anfield in which the champions battled back from behind twice in a Premier League classic.

Foden says that match was "special" and added: "I have never played in a more high-quality game than that."

"It was just the football we were both playing, it was end to end at times," he said, "full of goals and exciting plays".

"It's a great atmosphere playing at Anfield as well, it's the biggest occasion. Everyone I have asked it has been one of their favourite games this year."

It would be a big upset if MUFC win, LFC to win by 2 or three goals - routine these days, what a shame since Fergie left lol

TEAM NEWS
Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker is back in contention for the Premier League visit of Liverpool after serving a European suspension in midweek.

Ruben Dias and Cole Palmer remain sidelined by injuries.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Fabinho will be fit despite suffering a cut in a clash of heads with Benfica's Nicolas Otamendi on Tuesday.

The Reds are targeting an 11th straight league win, and victory would take them above City in the table.

Bro it’s City .

Yep Utd haven’t been rivals for years lol

City v LFC is usually another classic . Almost impossible to predict the winner but our away form has been great .

Imo whoever controls the middle of the park will come out on top .

Hoping for Liverpool win , we need it more than city.

City just have the edge in my opinion, Diaz should have started.

1-0 to City already.

De Bruyne.

Quick start from the home team.

Jota with the equaliser.

What a match so far.

GOAL - Man City 2-1 Liverpool
Gabriel Jesus

JESUS!

City retake the lead as Gabriel Jesus gets in behind the Liverpool defence to cushion a shot in off the underside of the bar.

The finish is lovely. The ball in to the middle for the Brazilian from Joao Cancelo is even better.

It is the game that just keeps on giving! Everything we wanted it to be!

2-1 to City at half time.

Liverpool all over the place and lucky not be further behind.

What a start to the 2nd half. Mane with a lovely finish.

2-2

Full time 2-2.

Breath-taking match, end to end.

Liverpool better in the 2nd half after City were the stronger team in the first 45 mins.

Mahrez with a great chance at the end.

After a poor start gradually held our own . I would have bought on Bobby for Jota earlier in the 2nd , midfield was s serious battle .

City are a phenomenal footballing side . Only Liverpool can challenge them.

Hoping city are stressed in the champions league in the semis , otherwise may big drop a point .

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says his side's 2-2 draw with Manchester City is a "result we have to live with".

Leaders City remain one point clear of Liverpool at the top with seven games remaining after a pulsating game.

"It was like a boxing fight. Both arms down for a second and you get a massive knock and you shake a little," said Klopp. "Then the next knock is coming from the other team."

City boss Pep Guardiola said his side had missed "an opportunity".

The meeting between the country's two outstanding sides lived up to its pre-match billing and in the end there was nothing to separate them, with the destination of the Premier League title still hanging in the balance.

Liverpool twice fought back to equalise and Klopp added: "It was a great game and a result we have to live with and can live with."

"What a game. Wild," added Klopp. "The intensity of the game was crazy."

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson said "it was not the end of the world" that the Reds did not win.

"There are positives and negatives," he added. "We are still in the title race.

"Manchester City don't drop many points but we have to concentrate on ourselves. If they do slip up, we have to be there. We stay positive and keep going until the end."

'This is not over'

Liverpool and Manchester City meet again at Wembley next Saturday in the FA Cup semi-final and could yet meet in Paris on 28 May in the Champions League final.

Both Premier League games between the teams this season have ended as draws, the first time they've shared draws in both league meetings in a season since 2012-13.

20 April Home Brighton
23 April Home Watford
30 April Away Leeds
8 May Home Newcastle
15 May Away West Ham
22 May Home Aston Villa

Guardiola said he expected the title race to go to the last day of the season.

"Now both teams know [there are] seven games left, you have to win or it will all be over," he added.

"I have a feeling we missed an opportunity but it doesn't matter what happened, this is not over. I would say the same with defeat or victory.

"We know what we have to do. I don't know what is going to happen."

Guardiola agreed with Klopp's assessment that it was like a boxing match.

"Quite similar. He likes that. He likes his punching games," he said.

City should have won the match, missed many chances. I am afraid Gabriel Jesus and Sterling lack some fundamental football understanding as KDB could have had big 3-4 chances if they only could see him in good positions and how could Mahrez miss that big chance in injury time?

Anyways top match and Liverpool is the only team which can challenge City and I wont be surprised if they sneak pass them come end of May. Livenrpool is a mentally very strong team, probably even better than City in that area.

Ah got mixed up, City/LFC is probably the biggest game in the league now at the top of the table, two gun slingers fighting till the end. Yeah United get bashed up by everyone pretty easily now, we beat them in their backyard to with a manager who got fired soon after. Losing to relegation fighting Everton, wow what a sad state

If City had bought Kane instead of Grealish they would have walked this championship. Everywhere else they are just sensational

Agreed, tbh if they had any decent striker they would probably walk this league, Jesus, sterling etc as good as they arent as clinical infront of goal.
