Who will win the Qualifier between Islamabad United & Karachi Kings & advance to final in Karachi?

Could be a tense clash! Who are you supporting?
 
Islamabad will need to bring their A game for this.
 
Any result in which Islamabad are not the winners will be a massive fluke.
 
IU is clear favorite, but my support is on KK.

Yesterday IU didn't do justice to MS, they should face their nemesis. Team is too good to miss out Final, so they'll win the next one for sure, but deserve to suffer few anxious days for that little sin (sent Misbah at 4 !!!!!!!!!!!).
 
like to see good match. personally think iu is strong as per batting and kk as per bowling a little bit.

Was not their fault.MS have themselves to blame for selecting and playing shehzad and sohail tanvir etc.

MS had very little choice - first 50 players were retained, then they were 6th in draft pick every round - still made a decent squad. Then PCB (PSL) screwed them with schedule - they finished their games with every other team having 2 games left, which is fishy. Last 2 days had 4 games - 8 slots, therefore logical should have been 2 teams having 2 games each and rest 4 one each.
 
if IU can carefully navigate amir and usman, their batting depth is too much to handle...
 
News filtering through that Misbah might not play tonight's match due to a wrist injury. If that happens, massive boost for Karachi Kings!!
 
Very confident we'll do the business, just need to avoid Amir tearing a void at the start. If Ronchi survives the powerplay, we'll be in good shape.

Misbah has either been garbage or irrelevant the entire tournament, if I had to, I don't think I can pick a player in the XI that I'd rather lose to injury than Misbah.
 
Karachi will need to be at their best to win, but it doesn't matter either way as whoever progresses to the final is only going to be a sacrificial lamb for the Rahat.
 
I read something about Misbah being injured so will miss today’s match :broad:

Misbah has not been playing as a batsman for IU this season. He's playing only as a captain and his captaincy is extremely important for Islamabad United. If he doesn't play, KK has a massive headstart in the match tonight.

Who will captain IU now,given that Rumman is also out?Shadab?

A specialist captain? This isn't test matches, this isn't Misbah's domain. We've done well because we have perhaps the only batting unit with a quality opening pair, a dynamic middle order, and a deep and heavy hitting tail along with a consistent bowling attack. Misbah controls perhaps obvious bowling changes and nothing else, Rumman looked better as captain. Misbah is the last person in the XI I'm fussed about.

Although i dont like karachi team attitude, i would want them to be in Finals, it will make a interesting Final. Otherwise IU will Win

I hope they do get to the final eventually also due to where the final will be staged but my loyalty ultimately is with Islamabad and I hope Karachi are destroyed
 
Not playing Ronchi wasn't a good trick. It usually backfires when you don't play an in-form batsman on pretext of rest.

wrt dead rubbers in a tournament, Not playing your main bowler(s) was the original idea. Don't know why they extended this to Batsmen.

You don't simply drop a performing BATSMAN even if it is a most-dead rubber.

Amir will be they key. IU wins if they safely see off his first two overs.

I hate it when people support teams just because of a player... don't be a [MENTION=135038]Major[/MENTION]. Otherwise you will be in a predicament when Misbah leaves. The team is always bigger than any single player.

I don't support the team because of one player, Islamabad is the closest to my moms home in Pakistan. Am also a fan of Aston Villa for similar reasons unlike others who support the likes of Manchester, Liverpool etc

You can't question the Bear's loyalties man. Me and Shaz were the first few members on this forum to join the IU fan club.

Only way we'll ever jump ship to another team is if/when they introduce a new franchise for Pindi. :rr

Obviously Islamabad here and hopefully other team would be Peshawar and want Peshawar to lift the trophy yet again
