Why are both the Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi teams performing better than the Pakistan cricket team?

The Pakistani fans should get over the loss against India. It was but just a game before reaching the finals. The real problem is that the Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi teams are performing and clicking better than ours.

As far as I'm concerned, in either of the upcoming games we are not the favorites. The Pak cricket team has made it difficult for itself by losing the game against India. Now every game is a knockout game.

There is a positive aspect of the current situation. If Pakistan wins both the games, which will not be an easy task, there will be more prepared to play the final because they just went through two knockout games and won them.

India so far has been enjoying a free ride by defeating Associate teams and an unsettled Pakistani team with new players and a relatively new coach. Their real test will be starting from now and I think Sri Lankans take pride in winning the Asia Cups. For me Sri Lankans are the favorites to win the Asia Cup from here and onwards.

Needless to say the toss will be playing a crucial role in all the upcoming games. Nevertheless it will be unfair to the Pakistani cricket in the long run if a below par Pakistani team reaches the finals.

Lots of changes are warranted in the playing eleven of the Pakistani T20 team. Maybe a failure in the Asia Cup will allow the management to make the difficult decision of getting rid of some players for good?

BD, pakistan, SL can never match range hitting of SENA teams. BD is trying to control the controllable which is bowling. BD has a ceiling as far as batting goes. Pakistan instead of trying that , they are doing a wild goose chase trying to match the batting of SENA teams by loading the side batsmen and all rounders. They might win the Asia cup. But problem will remain.

BD is a pretty formidable team in their home conditions and the Sr Lankans can hit.
Among these three teams only Pakistan is playing 90s cricket.

if Pakistan is to change its T20 culture it has to see its aggressive batters' failures as an investment not a cost. Fans also have to go easy on the batters who fail chasing aggression. Right now Pak batting style stands in no man's land and the management is trying to make all-rounders of its batters.

Hassan Nawaz should have never been dropped. It sends a wrong message to the aggressive batters.

Can't go back in time and rectify the mistake but hopefully he will be back in the team in the next game.

Can feel the whole thread is to downplay Indian team and put forward Lanka as an equal or more .
Sorry bro hard luck next time . Screenshot this India will lift the asia cup unless they themselves commit hara kiri and have a brain fade.
Only indian team can inflict self defeat

that's because you are a patriotic Indian fan. Not a cricket fan.

since their watershed moment of 1996, SL team has won the Asia Cup the most among all the Asian teams.

We don’t have a single batsman that has cemented his spot. Even the only guy who is performing anywhere near average in fakhar we don’t know where he should bat. We play a new xi every match.

At some point we’ve got to say enough is enough and back players in their defined spots. What happens is we shuffle and mix our team for each tournament. And then by the next tournament again we have no settled positions. Sometimes I think it’s better to just have a settled team and lose a current tournament so at least by the next tournament we actually have a gelled defined starting xi.

Instead we lose anyway despite all these changes, and then it’s the repeat situation next tournament where we don’t know our best xi or what positions they should play.

We have to at some point aim to realise there isn’t just talent waiting around the corner to pick if these fail and work to maximise our existing talent to its fullest potential. Which means playing the same settled line up. Changes should be done gradually not like this.

Even if they don't match the power hitting of SENA teams that is still the best way to go. I don't like BD 6-5 combination. We need a proper all-rounder in the middle like Pandya, Faheem, Sean Abbott.

Look at Rashid, has an insane no look shot. Meanwhile Fizz is just happy bowling few economical overs.
