Imad, more often than not, is economical. Shadab hasn't been so far. At this point in time, I'd still play Imad over Shadab if it came to that. He also has done reasonably well with the bat when he's had time to bat (today's match being an exception).

One of the worst players in the team. Always fails with the bat so he isn't even an allrounder. He's a slow bowler who doesn't even specialize in that either. Straight low balls that luckily get him a wicket at times. Looks overly chubby and lazy in the field (couple of misfields today) and looks like he is more concerned about his hair than the game.

There should be a rule that Imad shouldnt be allowed to play against Asian sides. He bring some value while playing the non-asian sides. I think he should play against england and be dropped in finals if by some miracle Pakistan win the semis.

Shadab has to play anyhow against England but I don't want to drop Imad,we should rather drop the professor and bring in Shadab but that does make our weak batting lineup more weaker,having said that Hafeez has been doing nothing except than making crap statements so we have to be brave,and that allows Sarfaraz to go and play at no.4 the perfect place for him to play...

Imad is certainly not as talented as some of the posters here believe and I don't see him being a long term solution for ODIs (he is good enough for T20s though). However, in this tournament he hasn't played any worse than Hafeez or Malik as an allrounder and should be competing with Hafeez for a spot in the team while Shadab and Fahim should be competing for the other allrounder's spot depending on conditions. Ideal scenario would be to drop one of Hafeez or Imad (depending on the opposition) for Haris as given their batting form, playing both of them is not a good idea. But realistically I don't see it happening as the management seems to be with them.
