Why did PCB choose to invite New Zealand for the white-ball tour?

Ok hear me out. As we know NZ is one of those countries that plays it safe in anything. Dare I say too much safe (eg Covid). PCB tried a hierarcy in inviting teams which was initially with World 11, then Zim followed by Ban, PSL and SA. I feel somewhat that we could have maybe just maybe allowed Eng first as I dont think they will react in this manner. Somewhere this was a given with NZ given their past and that they get spooked easily.

What everyone else feels?

They could’ve hosted the games in Lahore.

It’s time PCB builds a stadium with an inbuilt hotel so the players are at the ground the whole time, no need for those security escorts etc.

England and Australia are just as sensitive teams to invite. This is more to do with background politics to punish Pakistan for the failures of Allies in Afghanistan.

Problem is PCB acts like beggar and looser. They should cancelled that NZ tour citing attack on mosque. Because of this boars like BCCI, NZC, ACB, ECB... try to dictate us. When you don't have self pride you cannot expect respect from others. Sethi and Zaka has started this trend.

These countries have always been reluctant, so why bother with them?

I hope I'm not wrong but from memory, last time New Zealand paid a visit was 2003, Australia possibly 1998, England 2005 and India 2007.

1. South Africa (tick box)

2. England

3. New Zealand

4. Australia

We should also know that NZ is a very careful country when it comes to safety considering they survived a terrorist attack nineteen years ago by terrorists in a hotel... It's their right for them to cancel the tour

PCB and NZC should just think about rescheduling the series in 2022 rather than just attacking them... And plus our common man suffer too since most streets get blocked causing most people (especially those coming from work) getting stuck on a traffic.

REMEMBER... Terrorist attacks can take place when they are in the hotel, commuting to the stadium... IT CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE.

It's a sensitive issue but the PCB should bring it up.

Perhaps other then India the Pak should only play coloured teams for the forseeable future. Aus, NZ and England just keep making excuses all the time. As much as I hate it this explains why only Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and the West Indies are our choices available at the moment. Not sure about a mixed race team like South Africa.

It is time we give New Zealand a taste of their own medicine.

They need home cricket to survive, next time they invite us we should do the same and bail out.

Those who do not understand the sacrifices made by others need to be treated with the same filthy mindset they possess.

Point is NZ should have been last on our list along with Aus. They even didnt let their citizens enter due to fear of Covid when they were stranded. Even Eng is saying no intel was shared. Anything can happen is true but we have hosted successfully in the past even bigger tournaments. I think Eng is bit more open minded and wouldnt get spooked this easily.

Yes its not fully PCb's fault but they should have been aware of NZ past and its sensitivities. NZ, AUS treat their own citozens like crimanls for getting covid, shoot dogs in lockdown etc. In comparison Eng would have been more open. Its now coming out that it was unilateral by NZ and even Eng shared no intel with them. Truth is they get spooked easily.

I want to add that even in 2000's NZ and AUS were reluctant to tour while ECB toured us many times. They were a bad choice and should not have been prefered to England. Nz, Aus crimnalise their own citizens if they travel to India etc. They are just too much about security. Bad choice. ECB has been much generous to us.

ECB can pull out too..
Im pretty sure they got some intel from their government intelligence team.. and plus there have been terrorist attacks happening here targeting CPEC workers, it clearly shows we are not really that safe. And our board and government should stop embarrassing themselves by attacking them for them pulling out.
