Whats with the bowlers exaggerated celebrations when they get a wicket, Imads on it aswell now

Representing your country
You're doing well
Passion isn't taught you know. It's embedded within you.

Time and time again Pakistan cricket fans complain if the players know who their playing for and what they represent so appreciate it now.

Celebrations are OK, but they need to be innovative, not copy others, CR7 for instance.

Rest look fine. Hasan Ali doing his stuff after getting Agar out. Where was this celebration in the Asia Cup?

That is the question !

its bit overdone for me personally, but everyone one to his own, passion and showing off to the camers are to different things

He didn't take too many wickets at the Asia Cup, why would we randomly celebrate without taking a wicket? Or are you trying to say that because he had one bad tournament, he lost the right to celebrate?

Imad's celebration is so cringeworthy. He's not worthy to lick Rinaldo's boots, never mind copy his celebration.

I like Junaid Khan's celebration the best. Pure passion and jazba

Well said thats why I have it has as my avatar since I joined. :junaid

Amir's celebrations in CT were epic too, specially after Kohli wicket.

Easy guys. I know Hasan Ali over does it. He doesnt need to bring it out when we already are trashing Aus. Save it for the bigger moments.

Like how shadab and shinwari do it. Just stay cool man.

That's how Pakistanis are. Soft people won't understand.

100% agree. Soft people or those that have recently started watching Pakistan cricket. Our team has been infested with meek and timid players who think showing aggression and passion is equivalent to badtameezi. We all know who is responsible for bringing this culture of "sharafat" in the team :misbah

Apart from Shadab I don't see anybody doing anything disrespectful.

Every good fast bowler has at least a bit of an attitude.

Look at guys like Starc, Rabada, Amir, Hazlewood, etc.

It honestly depends on the team culture. You will see it from Australia/Pakistan/South Africa, but not India/New Zealand/Bangladesh. Both types are fine imo.

Celebrations look good when they’re natural. Don’t even like Ronaldo’s posing. Hasan Ali is cringeworthy too.

I always loved Tahir. As mad and overexcited he was it seemed to get naturally to him.

Love Dhawan’s Thigh-Five. It’s simple and iconic.

Akhtar was amazing.

Afridi as well was amazing.

Why shouldn't he? Does it cost the team something? If the player performs and gets a wicket they have every right to celebrate.

You should see Kohli's reaction after taking a catch haha

Nothing wrong with the celebrations. Each to their own. They ain’t breaking any laws. If you don’t like it go watch Dora the explorer.

I didnt realise Ronaldo had a copyright on his celebration.

Imo there is nothing wrong with any celebration as long as it doesn't get into the opposition players face. Imad today pretty much won the game in his first two overs, so was rightly excited.

It's not just Pakistanis who celebrate with some passion, nobody does it crazier than Dale Steyn and Andre Nel.

What? Indian and Bangladeshi players have some of the most OTT celebrations.

Rona dhona gang in full flow in this thread. These players have a right to do whatever celebration they want on the field. This Pakistan team is a far cry from the achay bachay of the Misbah era, and long may this continue :amir2

I believe Ronaldo does have a copyright on his goal celebration. Same with Bale and his heart celebration (earns £10m per year from it).

Rona dhona gang always emerges like barsati maindak after every good performance

He really stung you with that border celebration. You guys are still salty.

Bhai he can do his celebration at the border. What did he do in the Asia Cup? Nothing.

Then here he takes out Ashton Agar and celebrates llike he has taken a hattrick comprising Tendulkar Bradman and Sobers.

Hasan Ali will celebrate where and however he wants. He doesn't care about what you think and your whining and crying won't change anything.

Bowler gets hit for a boundary by a batsman. Gets him out the next ball, hence the celebration. Completely normal.

What does the Asia Cup have to do with this?

As long as the players don't get injured doing their celebratory antics, its all fine.

Trademark celebrations are good for the game. It catches the imagination of the fans and adds Masala to the contest.

Nothing beats Warnie's "come on, come on!".

Gives me chills every time.

No big issue with the players celebration. We have bigger things to worry about.

No surprise from you, you had to bring your far right political views even on a player celebration thread.

I think some Indian posters are still mad about what Hassan Ali did at the border which is why you would see them criticizing him even when it makes no sense.

Do you have any source for this? I dont see how anyone can copyright a celebration or how anyone copying it can be sued.

Here's the one for Bale.

According to media reports on Monday Bale has now successfully trademarked the “Eleven Of Hearts” - a step that could net the Welshman more than £10m a year.

It was on CBC (government network here in Canada) and WalesOnline. A lot of athletes do this after Jordan's dunk logo became a major success.

I imagine Ronaldo would go after Imad if the celebration led to monetary benefits. Otherwise, it's obviously a waste of time.

This is so he can use the 'hearts' on his clothing, merchandise etc. It's not to stop others using the heart celebration because if this was the case , he would be a billionaire as every other player in dozens of leagues have done the same celebration. Not to mention in other sports.

Can someone post Hasan's border celebration so it can be seen in all its glory?

Hasan Ali's border celebrations still hurt :))) chotay log

Yes, like I said Ronaldo would only come after Imad if it was used for monetary benefits (i.e. selling merchandise).

Point was the celebration can be copyrighted.

In general, mimicry is actually great marketing since we're talking about Ronaldo.

Saw the highlights. Nothing beats the snakedance by that Bdeshi player (don't know his name) as the most over exeggerated celebration and quite ugly looking aswell when performed.

These celebrations are to be taken with a pinch of salt. These Pakistani players were exposed against India brutally where they were exposed like school children against the big boys

Surely, they should've learned by now after Asia cup, what happens when you show fake bravado.

It's getting a little too much, people caught on it from PSL and Hassan Ali and Raees were the ones to start it and now every tom dick and harry wants to get attention this way lol

so true... minnow bashers that appeal to the jingoists community who still are in denial

And still ranked 6th lol....Misbah's era won the t20 world cup, now these guys are cashing in on the champions trophy... long will this continue and may our mediocrity continue as well

Hahahaha one has to be severely mentally scarred to have a problem with an athlete celebrating and that too when your team isn't even in the mix :)) :))

Nothing weong with celebrations but Pakistanis usually do it against minnows. Against India, our players are very timid. No aggression against them. If they can’t show bravado against India then don’t show it to other teams.

The players get humiliated against the top teams all the time, so on the rare occasions where they actually beat a top team, they deserve to go over the top with the celebrations.

Some people are right in pointing out that Hasan stung a few Indian fans with his antics on the border, but the Indian team put him in his place in the Asia Cup and reduced him to a complete nobody, so I don’t think it bothers them anymore.

Misbah's era won the T20 World Cup? Care to explain what you mean by this blatant lie?

Why will anyone have a problem with celebrations of an athlete. As long as its not ugly or abusive, it's great to see players showing emotions. You don't want robots playing on the field.

Mediocre players who believe their own hype and are backed by delusional people
Both are put to their place most often than not
But then both forget where they actually stand after one off successes

Junaid's celebrations are pure passion and are 100% his natural reaction to getting a wicket. Not some made up crap

Its good pumps everyone up. I remember in the Misbah era we were playing LOI cricket like we lost the match from the start.

Why does a football player goes crazy when he scores a goal when is playing just club football? These men are representing their country.

Better than the team hurdling up after every wicket underneath Afridi and Misbah

It depends on the celebration. Remember wasim, waqar and shoaib? Classy and original celebrations and they celebrated when they should, not on every wicket.

These days, looking at wanabe imad ronaldo and hassan ali starting generator after every wicket is just cringeworthy. I like shadab and fahim ashraf celebration and amir and junaid as well.

The most misleading part is that Pakistani fans think having passion towards a game means you make such kinds of immature celebrations and show unnecessary aggression which is cringeworthy most of the times. Unfortunately, your performance isn't up to the mark and hence these talks of being passionate towards the game should be kept to rest.

And in contrast, a certain team whom they call as meek and timid and soft have really been dominant recently and are arguably the no. 1 team in the two main formats that matters in the game of cricket- Tests and ODI cricket.

Revenge being taken for this gustakhi during Asia cup. What thrashing he got, bah gawd :))

And before the game he was like, I want to take 10 wickets against India. :uakmal
