Why doesn't Chris Woakes open the bowling?

If you personally ask me, I feel that woakes is a better new ball baller than broad and knows how to move around . Isn’t it strange the guy who swings it best after Anderson is bought one change ?

Broad asks different questions, getting more bounce and cutting it about. Though he seems to have developed an inswinging yorker too.

When Anderson retires I expect Woakes will take the new ball with Broad.
