Travel videos of India look absolutely chaos with epicenter of scammers, filth, pollution, people, noise, traffic etc etc all around in all the city exploration videos. It genuinely looks like the worse way one could spend a vacation. And tourist females being harassed and raped making headlines all the times ads on to their terrible reputation on women's safety. Hindutva facism has also been making rounds in global news so doesn't help with country's image.
Have been to beautiful Islamabad and Northern areas of Pakistan couple of times and it's absolutely breathtaking with humble people all around. If only Pak spends on tourism industry, it can genuinely build but one can't expect much from a toothless pathetic Pakistani governments who would even consider tourism as a revenue generating resource for a nation. Have seen too many videos of foreigners loving their experience in Pakistan so there is a huge potential if done right. As for safety, Pakistan any day is far safer than places like US
