Why has Pakistan never won an LOI tournament in home conditions ?

Don't think Pakistan has won even s single tri series at home, let alone an Asia Cup or an ICC event . This goes back to the 80's and 90's as well when PAK had their greats.

So what is the reason behind this ?

Is it the conditions ? Bowlers not being good enough ?Or is the pressure of playing at home too much for the players ?

India has won worldcup and champions trophy in England,
World Cup in India,
World Series championship (original champions trophy) in Australia
WT20 in Westindies and South Africa
Champions trophy shared in Srilanka
Asia cup in Bangladesh, Srilanka,UAE and India

If we win this then technically check box — Pakistan

Fantastic 👍

Umm no. Pakistan is Pakistan. UAE is UAE.

How many tournaments have there been in Pakistan exactly? Think you're forgetting that we didn't have any international cricket in our country for over a decade. This tournament was originally awarded to Pak back in 2009, before it was moved to South Africa for obvious reasons.

Pak's best chance was the 1987 World Cup. It was a great team and everyone expected an India-Pakistan final. And then we got beaten by a thoroughly average Australian side, while India got swept out by Gooch. 1996 was another good opportunity too but Pakistan got outclassed and humbled by an inferior Indian team, in large part due to their own arrogance and Wasim Akram's mysterious injury that still doesn't fully add up for me to this day.

I don't really care about the tri-series/multi-team series. The only people who remember those are the people who grew up in the 80s & 90s watching them.

To be frank even in 80's & 90's Pakistan was more comfortable in Sharjah. They were kind of unbeatable there for a while. At home they were always beatable in ODIs
