Why is Fakhar Zaman so happy to job to Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan?

Ridiculous.

How does Fakhar Zaman bat in a side at 5 where Babar and Agha bat ahead of him??

Why doesn’t this guy just take a stand and tell the management ENOUGH IS ENOUGH??

They ruined his career for the RizBar opening partnership. Now they are shifting him to 5 or 6 so that Babar can bat at 3 and Agha can bat at 4?!
 
This is definitely unfair with him. He should bat as an opener or at number 3 and I have mentioned it in a couple of other threads as well. Also, I feel playing Babar and Salman together in the T20s is not ideal for the team.
 
Fakhar is a noble man, and a team player . He is everything the likes of Rizwan pretend to be. He just gets on with his job .
The way he’s been shafted around in the t20 team like a spare part is abysmal.

Fun fact- Fakhar has never opened for Pakistan in a t20 World Cup . I think it’s high time he does .
 
I think 2 accumulators being in the order just really ruins team balance. First it was Babar and Rizwan and now that Rizwan is gone it's Agha. And they have to somehow use them in the middle overs so that when it's time to go big, the rest come and pull the team out of the rut. This is how Khushdil and Asif Ali were tested and disposed of.

Fakhar is the most dependable bat in the team. He's your greatest white ball player since he debuted. The disrespect in shifting him around like this is criminal behaviour. He should have the most say as the most elite senior on the team and dictate a few things. The sad reality is he knows if he says anything, he's out. And he also understands that Pakistan cannot afford to lose him.

They used to treat Abdul Razzaq like this too.

PCB is a crap institution. Guys like Rizwan can state all sorts of backwas and be rewarded for being outspoken

And guys like Fakhar and Razzaq can’t say anything because if they do, they will simply be thrown out!
 
I don't even mind Fakhar at 4 to be honest just bc he makes the middle order look a bit stronger than it is and as of late he seems to take a few overs to get going against the new ball whereas if he has to come in at 4 he'll adapt to the situation. Plus, his strike rate at 4 is also significantly better than at the top order which kind of proves the point. And the middle order needs some firepower anyway. But anything below that is disrespectful.

It's always the ones who take the game seriously and play for the team that seem quieter regarding obvious issues and complaints.

This is still a little better than when Babar and Rizwan, two NON-openers were opening for Pakistan while real openers came down the order. Traumatic times. But yes, Fakhar cannot be coming at 5.

Because Fakhar can play in the middle-order, but the rest of the batsmen cannot. If Babar plays, he can only bat at No. 3. No other position for him makes sense. If Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub play, they have to be opening the batting. Fakhar has a higher strike-rate at No. 4 (153.6) than he does at any other number, and considering the state that Pakistan's middle-order is in, they could very much use a reliable high strike-rate batsman in the middle.

They need to drop Salman Agha from T20 team entirely, make Shaheen captain and find someone useful at 5 and 6. Hassan Nawaz is a good prospect to back for that position. Keeper will probably be revolving door between Usman, Haris, Haseebullah based on who is least disappointing.
 
I don’t mind Fakhar at number 5. It gives the team some firepower and most importantly some experience in the middle and back end of an innings. The batting line up was fine today. It’s the best we currently have

Fakhar is one of the few players in the country who can score a hundred in T20 cricket. Batting him at 5 is surely not a good idea.

I get what you mean. But Pak has been struggling back end of the innings and it’s good to have an experienced player with good hitting ability at 5. Btw Fakhar has not scored any 100s in T20s. Babar has 3. So it make sense for Babar to bat at 3. Just need a reliable batsman at 4.
 
As usual, a misinformed thread.

Rizwan is not in the t20 squad, so dont know he is mentioned in the thread title.

Also, Fakhar Zaman was out of the t20 squad and is only back cause Hassan Nawaz had to withdraw. Now, Fakkar is playing in his place and spot because he has sucked as an opener and is not in contention for the opening spot
 
Fakhar has zero personality and goals. He is happy and grateful for a paycheck. It explains his inconsistent performances with the bat. The PCB and team management know he is a pushover and he can shoved around no questions asked. When he is out of form, his body language is off a complete mental midget who looks like he is about to cry.
 
Still remember how Fakhar was hesitant to even captain Qalandars in the early PSL seasons. That gave a good account of his limited mental strength.

43 games he played as an opener.... He could have scored 1 but nope...

Last night he should have been batting at 4 if not open but Salman ali agha was selfish and promoted himself instead... Joke

Fakhar's best position atm is number 4 and he proved it time to time... Can take on spinners easily.
 
In a set up where sifarish , paid PR dramas and player power is present these things are common. Fakhar is a type of person who doesn’t whine in media . He gets thrown around yet he slaps his critics . He is the sacrificial lamb because king and others will make halla gulla if they are scattered around . A example is yesterday post match presser . Usman khan was bombarded with questions about “ Will he be able to replace Rizwan” Again and again mentioning Rizwan and putting Usman under pressure . Another biased thing happened yesterday with Ramiz suggesting Babar should open because he got out on duck . While Amir sohail glorifying a simple catch taken by Babar . Also during start of SA T20 series Aamir Sohail mentioned that other players should play around Babar and take pressure off him . lol so much makhan malayi by these “ tucche” commentators .
 
Fakhar has pretty much failed as opener and no.3. It isn’t suited for him. Which is why he has been shuffled around the order. Had he performed as opener consistently in his early career he never would have been shunted down.

Fakhar doesn’t use the top order positions to his advantage in t20s. He doesn’t find it easy to blast boundaries in powerplay. Nor does he use it to play himself in reliably.

No.5 position is actually perfect for him. I think it’s his ideal position. When he comes in at 4 and 5 he tends to be able to target the spinners early and be aggressive ball one. Top order he struggles, he mainly tries to survive, which lowers his sr and often he gets out.

I think fakhar could have been a world class bat at 4 or 5 in t20s. He could have absolutely excelled. Effective from ball one. It’s sad I think we missed out on fakhar having a great t20 career because of it.

As I mentioned previously, that team was also handicapped by having Salman in the team but majority of the personnel didn't play well so we didn't put up good scores.

This batting line-up is just setup to fail. You just cannot play Babar, Salman and Rizwan in the same team.

Are you sure about these two claims or you have just decided to throw them in here after eating some of the Tus Tus cake you really like?

I’ll give you another chance. Provide proof of the claim or get ready for some customery chitrol.
 
The most sensible option is a top 3 of Farhan, Saim and Fakhar. It is absolutely pointless to bring an accumulator in before any of them.

if Babar can’t contribute below no3 he shouldn’t be in the team. Personally I think Babar should play and bat at no7/8. Not because he’ll be good at that position, it’s just that for the majority of games he won’t get a bat, and also the team needs a court jester to keep them entertained. Babar’s new found clown show of tapping everyone in the head and act like a complete clown seems to lift spirits. Everyone has a role, use babar wisely.
