A hack will remain hack regardless of pitches. Even on flat pitches good bowlers will eat him alive.

Asif Ali is decent. We need a hitter like him in the middle order. He just needs to be taught to be more patient. Pakistan still has lots of games before the World Cup.

Asif Ali needs to be smarter. The problem with a lot of the sloggers from Pakistan is that they have terrible temperaments and are clueless about their capabilities. Asif Ali hitting a 6 off Rashid is great when it comes off. But the shot after that was brain-less. The second problem is that as a slogger if you only have one release shot, you're bound to get found out. I've only seen that ugly swipe across the line from him so far.

Compare that to Razzaq who would hit straight and square on either side of the wicket.
