Imad would have bullied these minnows, greatly missed in the Asia Cup, he's an epic definition of horses for courses kind of player.

Fitness aside, such a mediocre cricketer should not play for Pak again.
Bowled well but his dropped catch nearly cost Pakistan the game.
So you are so fickle you change opinions on over by over basisOk take it back about Imad, 2 good sixes

Imad is a solid bat but it’s not the first time we are seeing he’s not a shot maker and has a very limited power game batting at the death
Surely he should be batting up the order instead
Yet Faheem and Shadab are the golden boys of this forum.I have said it time and again . . he is 10 times the batsman faheem ashraf is . . and if given the option, i will go with him any day over faheem! Faheem can't bat!
Id go as far to say he should be batting number 5 in current batting line up in ODIs, hes been wasted down the order. Clearly hes got enougb ability to be coming in before malik, keeper and shadab!
He outclasses Shadab and Faheem time and time again, but unfortunately, he is one of the antagonists who can do no wrong. He was dearly missed in the Asia Cup and has cemented his place for good now.
Held back too late by Pakistan!
Done reasonably well in this series - obviously not won anything for Pakistan yet but looks good for the World Cup
He has proved himself as the best all-rounder in Pakistan. All the talk of dropping him should be laid to rest now.
It is time to send Shadab on his way and replace him with a specialist spinner.
Time to bring Imad into the Test side as well. He can be an able partner for Yasir in UAE/Asia and average 35 odd with the bat, providing great depth to the batting lineup.
Imad needs to improve his bowling and be able to turn the ball. His ineffectiveness with the ball is the main reason we have struggled to finish sides off from overs 15-40 and have allowed them to recover from 80/5 to 238/6 and 125/5 to 227/8.
Had we finished the opposition early our net run rate would have been better. But then again this probably has a lot to do with Sarfaraz inefficient captaincy as well
Imad is not a frontline spinner, his job is to bowl 10 dry overs consistently. He has taken over the Hafeez role who wouldn’t have been so effective without Ajmal.
Having a mediocre option like Shadab as the main spinner has really hurt Imad’s bowling as well.
Well said, this is what 95% of posters on PP, don't understand. You need a defensive option in your spin attack unless you have 2 x quality spinners, which this team doesn't possess.
What did you think of Bilal Asif in the home test series last year? Reason I ask is because he's also a defensive type spinner, and I felt he performed his role rather well, in terms of keeping it tight and accumulating dot ball pressure.
He is okay, but Imad appears to be a much superior batsman.
