In a major development, Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was arrested by the police from Murree Motorway in the early hours of Thursday.

The AML chief's nephew Sheikh Rashid Shafiq confirmed his arrest to Geo News.

According to the police, a bottle of liquor and a weapon has been recovered from Sheikh Rashid's possession. Police also said that the former railway minister was intoxicated.

PPP's Rawalpindi Division President Raja Inayat-ur-Rehman had filed a case against the former federal minister in Islamabad's Aabpara police station for hurling allegations at former president Asif Ali Zardari for hatching a plot to assassinate Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan.

Sources told Geo News that the AML chief would be handed over to the Islamabad police.

Rashid's Lal Haveli has also been in the limelight after the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) sealed seven units including two units of Lal Haveli and five adjoining units on January 30.

The Americans are desperate to encourage a pakhtun revolt that showbaaz is also in on. That will break the PA and cause us to lose our nukes..India would be able to bomb us at will and more than likely we would have foreign troops stationed here.. this is the ultimate plan..if you support the pdm you are for this plan..

There will be no civil war this is another miscalculated assumption on part of the ik

If civil war was gonna happen we would have had one when we had unprecedented floods when half the country was under water.

Because no revolution can happen because the country hardly offers anything in the first place we don't have natural resources oil minerals etc or any export industry that exports anything of worth .
Even if there is a revolution you will have a country that is still a basket case like afghanistan or Somalia.

The economy is totally bankrupt since the 90s its being propped up by loans and aid .

So even if ik was in power he couldn't do squat all like the current lot he would be falling the same failing model of begging for loans and aid.

There is no plan its the same go back to the imf , we will ask our brotherly nations who are now giving middle finger , we will ask our foreign pakistanis abroad most who wouldn't want anything to do with pakistan now and have their own problems in their respected countries cost of living etc .

This imf agreement was signed by the pti , it was ik who reneged on it by the fuel subsidy last February.


The country is being forced to collapse by zionists they want default or social unrest with their austerity demands.

Either option will lead to the country going up for auction and outside powers carving off any meat which will probably eventually include any military assets like missiles and nukes.

The Awami Muslim League (AML) chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, who is a close aide of PTI chief Imran Khan, was arrested from his Rawalpindi residence in the early hours of Thursday.

Justice Mahmood Jahangiri was hearing a contempt plea filed by Sheikh Rasheed’s nephew in the Islamabad High Court.

At the outset of the hearing, the court asked the applicant to convince the court how contempt is committed by the police. The IHC only cancelled summon notices to Sheikh Rasheed, not barred police from registering a case against him, Justice Jahangiri remarked.

What is the charge acc to the penal code of Pakistan?

Zardari is a terrorist, theif and traitor. He , his family and those who worked for him have looted the nation blindly but in your opinion should he be arrested?

Clearly politically motivated in a desperate act by the imported fake government.

A local court in Islamabad on Saturday reserved the verdict regarding a case filed against Awami Muslim League (AML) leader and PTI ally Sheikh Rashid Ahmed for allegedly making defamatory remarks against the PPP leadership, after he was presented in the court upon the completion of his two-day physical remand granted on Thursday.

I dont know about regime change, all i know about is a VONC that is a constitutional process that also took place in UK. Word of advice, to save yourself from VONC, maybe have win seats :)....

An Islamabad court on Saturday sent Awami Muslim League (AML) leader and PTI ally Sheikh Rashid to jail on 14 days judicial remand after he was arrested on Thursday for allegedly making defamatory remarks against the PPP leadership.

wait, sheikh rasheed is now a journalist? Did some one kill Rasheed? As far as i know, the guy is alive and is a burden on the tax payers money in the jail.

Post 42 gives a detail the of the laws this guy violated. And its upto the court decide whether it warrants a case or not. Islamabad high court does think so.

Maybe he needs to be careful before running his mouth.

Look at poor old Shebaz Gill, after being jailed for committing a mistake, he has learned his lesson and has been on his best behavior for the last couple of months. Doesnt do batameezi anymore.
Ironically, our justice system works well when it comes to politicians, they dont commit the same mistake again.

Ironically, our justice system works well when it comes to politicians, they dont commit the same mistake again.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday ordered police to not take further action against Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid in cases filed against him in Karachi and Balochistan in connection with alleged defamation of PPP leadership.

The Islamabad police had arrested the PTI ally on Feb 2 for remarks he made against former president Asif Ali Zardari and had granted the police his two-day physical remand the same day.

PTI fans commentating here on him dont even live in Pakistan and have probably never lived in Rawalpindi.

I have seen Sheikh Rasheed closely, I know how this guy rose in the political circles.. My grandfather was a supporter of this guy and gave him space to establish his office when no one allowed Rashid to do so.
 
Sheikh Rashid gets bail in police threat case

A judicial magistrate accepted the bail of former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in a case of threatening the police in Murree against Rs100,000 surety bonds on Saturday.

The Awami Muslim League (AML) chief was accused of threatening the police and manhandling a law enforcement officer during his arrest.

Sheikh Rashid, who is a close ally of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, is currently in the Adiala Jail on 14-day judicial remand in another case for levelling allegations against former president Asif Ali Zardari.

The judicial magistrate and the district and sessions court have turned down his bail petitions in the case.

Sheikh Rashid was arrested on February 2 in the case of levelling allegations against Zardari. A day after his arrest, the Murree police also registered a case against him. The FIR was lodged on the complaint of investigation officer, Ashiq Ali, from the Aabpara police station, Islamabad. Rashid was accused of threatening police personnel.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted bail petition of former federal minister Sheikh Rasheed in a case of levelling allegations against former president Asif Ali Zardari, ARY News reported on Thursday.

A high court bench comprised of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani ordered release of Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed over Rs 50 thousand bail deposit.

He was arrested from his Rawalpindi residence in the early hours of Thursday Feb 02 and was on judicial remand in jail over a case of levelling allegations against former president Asif Ali Zardari of hatching a ‘murder plot’ for Imran Khan.

Rasheed had moved IHC to seek bail after a district and sessions court rejected his bail petition.

In his petition, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad argued that he was arrested over his remarks against PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, but the former president has not filed any complaint against him.

He termed the case registered against him as ‘political victimization.

If we wait, then Pakistan will become a prison. If we want to restore the image of the army, then we have to hold elections in any case. The image of the army should not be destroyed.

Awami Muslim League chief and PTI ally Sheikh Rashid has said he will keep supporting PTI Chairman Imran Khan, even if at the risk of facing death.

In a video message shared on his Twitter account, he alleged, “Three people have been engaged to end (kill) me.

“I want to tell the nation that I have the right to defend myself and I have written to the authorities of Pakistan’s actual government that there is a limit to abuse,” he added.
 
Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid made an impassioned plea for justice on Wednesday to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial.

In a video message posted on Twitter shortly after accusing Rangers of raiding his house along with the Islamabad Police, former prime minister Imran Khan's close aide said that his life was in danger with three men engaged to eliminate him.

Rashid reiterated that he had nothing to do with the Al-Qadir Trust case and had never associated with former advisor to prime minister on accountability Shahzad Akbar in this regard. The former interior minister said that if he had any information on the matter he would appear before the anti-graft watchdog to be "martyred".

Rashid questioned how a common person would survive in this country when the state and politics will "stoop this low". He appealed to CJP Bandial for justice claiming that "after the Almighty only the Supreme Court and the CJP were now the nation's hope".

‘Plus-minus’ formula will create more instability, warns Sheikh Rashid

PTI ally and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid has warned that the “plus-minus” formula will create more instability in the country.

Referring to Jahangir Khan Tarin’s efforts to poach former PTI leaders, he said that “it won’t be easy to make reverse disqualifications and form a new party”.
 

IHC reserves decision on cases against Sheikh Rashid over same allegation​


The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday reserved the decision on multiple cases filed on the same charge against Awami Muslim League (AML) head and former federal minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed for using foul language.

Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri of Islamabad High Court heard the case. Sheikh Rashid appeared in the court along with his lawyer Sardar Abdul Razzaq and Sardar Shehbaz.

On this occasion, state counsel Malik Abdul Rehman and police lawyer Kazim Adalat also appeared in the court.

The judge inquired whether the police had submitted the report it had been asked to produce in court. The state counsel told the court that the report had been submitted to the court.

The court asked whether words of Billo Rani were mentioned in the FIR? On court order, the state counsel read the FIR registered with Mochko police station.

The court asked who was the plaintiff in the case and added, "There are no Billo Rani like words in the FIR.
