KARAK: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairperson Imran Khan on Monday vowed to bring money launderers to accountability and recover the country’s looted money once in power.

Addressing students at Khushal Khan Khattak University in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the PTI chief said he would recover the money laundered by the corrupt and invest in education when his party comes in power.

“Unfortunately, education wasn’t given [the importance it deserved] in Pakistan. The country’s biggest challenge is providing education to the youth,” he said, adding that the PTI would “come to power this year”.

Khan also vowed to invest in sports infrastructure. “My vision is that Pakistan becomes a sports superpower,” he said, pointing out that his government has constructed over a hundred grounds to promote sports in the country.

Recalling his cricket-playing days, the World Cup winning captain-turned-politician said he learned of mental strength and a winning attitude from former Australia captain Greg Chappell.

“I learned to overcome fear of failure and how to win at everything from [Greg] Chappell,” said the PTI chief, as he stressed the importance of a winning mindset for all cricketers, athletes and everyone in any profession.

To celebrate his son’s wedding in full glory, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi ruined the Sports ground of Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan.

According to Express News, some 25,000 people were invited to the reception ceremony of Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s son.

In an effort to accommodate the large number of guests, two grounds were merged. The wall of the ground was broken and chains were cut off.

In protest against the move, students of the Zakariya University launched a social media campaign against the university administration.

According to reports, the university asked for a rent of only Rs5,000 for the ground.

According to Director Public Relations Dr Sohaib, the university had only given permission for the wedding reception to be conducted in the ground, however, if any destructions were caused then action will be taken against those responsible for the act.

That video did catch you off-guard. You can cop-out here by accusing me of lying, but you can obviously not call everyone in that video a liar without making a mockery of yourself. As a result, deep down, you are probably aware that what SMQ did is unacceptable and you are also aware that Imran will not do anything about it as usual.

I am not a fan of SMQ or anyone that takes money of mureed but if you say he has done wrong, then the chances are that he will be a decent fellow. Lets face it, anyone that thinks Showbiz is a good man after his "notice" in 2015 in Kasur and what happened to that poor girl as a direct result of his failure to protect those poor children cannot lecture anyone on lies or morals. I am a teacher, my job is to teach and protect. Every child that is in my class is under my protection when they are in school, these poor children relied on his protection, he was elected to protect them, but he couldnt give a sh** and let them face horrors along with his bandar.
