The last 10 days of Ramadan, people need to wake up for Sehri, prayers etc

All of this could be a contributor to what crowd involement we see in the grounds.

The ticket prices have just been announced for the 1st three games in Lahore.

very few are going to waste their time watching one of the most meaningless series ever

Well, there is the question of maintaining rankings. Also, some of these boys will do their best to impress here and somehow sneak into the ODI squad

If Saim piles on runs in the T20 series, why would you not want to see him open in ODI too?

Why meaningless bro? why such -veity. This is year of 50 ov white ball wc. surely these series means a lot to try out combos etc. for both teams.

Meaningless because New Zealand is not even playing their full strength team

Pakistan needs to return the favour, send a b team to NZ and let’s see how their broadcasters react.

With inflation Ramzan and Eid around the corner highly unlikely the series will grab eyeballs let alone handsome gate money

What a wonderful poster...

The religious background for the cricket series is the highlight... :inti

I can imagine that the Eid holidays could bring people to the grounds but late games will not.

PCB hoping for the best but political situation and the economic situation is such that people will not spend money on this.

I agree ,this ramdan has been really tough on majority of pakistanis. The weather is getting hotter too , dont think we will see enough crowd.

This is a depleted Kiwi side. Also, this series is not part of ODI Super League or anything. So, not much is at stake.

It is possible crowd may not come in big numbers.

I think it will get a decent TV audience.

Ultimately the purpose of the series is that the kiwis are the final piece in the puzzle to show the resumption of cricket in Pakistan.

All countries ( minus India) scheduled to play the 2025 trophy will have toured Pakistan without complaint.

might go to rawapindi games

Planning the same but the thought of sitting on those shadi ki chairs and concrete steps are giving me nightmares, not gonna be a fine cricket viewing experience i must say.

Invest in one of those seat cushions you can carry around. Standard fare for Pakistan stadiums.

The security is soo tight, forget about seat cushions, your not even allowed to wear a wrist watch or carry a usb charging cable into the stadium. They confiscate alot of things from you

First two T20s very close to selling out. Third T20 less than 1500 tickets left so will likely sell out / get close to selling out too.

ODI tickets have not gone on sale yet. Imagine sales will be less successful but lets see.

LWMC cleanliness plan for T20 cricket series

The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has prepared a comprehensive plan to ensure cleanliness arrangements for the upcoming Pak vs NZ T20 cricket series at Gaddafi Stadium.

As per the plan, LWMC will complete all necessary arrangements before the series which will include the janitorial services inside and outside the Gaddafi Stadium, audience seating areas and lavatories. Washing and sweeping of all the enclosures of the stadium shall be completed by April 13 (today).

LWMC will provide janitorial services in three matches till the final contest on 17th.

In order to ensure best cleanliness arrangements for the international series, the department has deployed 190 sanitary workers, 22 supervisors and 20 officers for the cleanliness of the stadium from inner side whereas, at outer ring of the stadium, 50 sanitary workers (20 in first shift and 30 in second shift) along with five supervisors and miscellaneous staff shall participate.

In addition to this, for maintaining cleanliness in dedicated four parking lots, 40 sanitary workers, four supervisors/in-charges shall take part.

Similarly, to maintain cleanliness at the adjoining routes of Gaddafi Stadium till PC Hotel, town manager operations of the concerned zones shall participate. Furthermore, four water bowsers, three mechanical sweepers, five mini dumpers and a compactor shall also be used for washing and sweeping of the stadium.

LWMC chief executive officer Babar Sahib Din said respective operations managers will be present at the stadium for the T20 series, and will monitor the cleanliness arrangements themselves.

He stressed that all town managers should ensure washing of the stadium, dusting of seats and cleaning of wash rooms as well.

Not a full house but commendable attendance.

Lahore crowd and Pakistan obliged by picking the star PSL winning cricketers - Fakhar, Shaheen, Rauf and Zaman.

Plus Babar remains popular.

I don't think this NZ squad is going to entice too many Pakistani fans.

The fans will come to watch the likes of Shaheen, Babar, Haris Rauf etc.

The gate money from the fifth and final T20 International between Pakistan and New Zealand will be donated to the earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria. The match will be played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on 24 April.

The border region of Türkiye and Syria was rocked by one of the deadliest earthquakes on 6 February that claimed thousands of lives and destroyed essential infrastructure, including healthcare facilities.

In this regard, the Pakistan Cricket Board will play a part in raising donations for millions of people affected on either side of the border by joining hands with the Punjab Government. The Pakistan side will wear commemorative caps to convey Pakistan's everlasting solidarity to the two nations going through this difficult moment.

Went there for first 2 matches and i must say shaheen and babar are crowd pullers.
First t20 attendance was good but match itself turned out to be boring.
Second match it was a full house and babr hitting a century made the atmosphere awesome

Some real entertainment for the crowds!

PCB desperately needs to resume international cricket in other parts of Pakistan and to quit giving games to Khi.

Seems the answer is no!

remember when we were kids, in the 80s and then even up until the late 90s, the crowds in Pakistan were massive. I dont remember paying much attention to the crowds in the early 2000s and whatnot because I was not watching that much cricket back then.

What do you think happened? Is it because of too much cricket going on? PSL is probably taking care of their appetite? or are people prefering to watch on TV and not interested in the stadium experience anymore? or are there totally different non cricketing reasons behind this?

Are people even interested in cricket as much as we used to be as kids in the 80s and 90s?

Hard to see many people on this ground!

When I was growing up in Karachi - we used to dream of getting tickets to seeing our guys at the NSK.
