On the contrary, if Sri Lanka can beat India I would be very apprehensive about our chances beating them.

Makes little difference this game. The India vs South Africa game will determine the standings and whether SA or Pak will go through.

Disagree with the OP though. If India lose, that's best for us. Sri lanka will notch up a win. And then all we have to do to qualify is to beat sri lanka. As only two teams will be on two wins (Pakistan and India or SA). Actually makes things better for us. If India win, we will be reliant on India beating SA to qualify regardless of the result against Sri Lanka (unless it's an absolute thrashing, but at this point unlikely). It's very unlikely we can qualify via run rate now.

Can't see India losing here though.

If it does come to that situation, I wonder how India will play. Remember in 2009 champions Trophy I feel we took it easy on Australia until at the end where suddenly we put in more effort and nearly clinched the win. India thrashed WI but wasn't enough and Aus even if they didn't win, the run rate was kept close enough that both Pak and Aus would qualify regardless who won.

Still feel a bit guilty about that match, I don't think we turned it on because Pakistan were hoping India would be out. Was wrong of us. Hope India wont do the same, but at the same time probably in India's best interest for us to qualify, as India beating us in tournaments is pretty easy for them these days. While SA could actually be more of a problem.
