Pakistan did basics right even through they lost the toss

1) Junaid and Amir did excellent job in putting enough pressure, even through that they did not did wickets but there pressure assisted Imad and Hafeez to sneak quick early wickets ( already seeing bless of dropping useless bowler Wahab, who is run gifting machine to opponent and also creates negative energy in the team)

2) Sarfraz did right to change fast bowling after over no 8, I was thinking same, fast bowlers gave us steady start lets put pressure from spinners now and it worked

3) Positive energy brought positive fielding in the team, even commentators cannot believe is this the same team that played against India

4) Give this Pakistani young team more time, they will improve. Dropping Shahzad was excellent start even if his replacement do not score it is sill right step to remove negative energy players

5) Bring Sharjeel back to team when available, and give chance to more talented youth players.

6) I am very hopefull we will improve with young talent.

The only thing wrong with the team is the batting intent (and power hitting capabiliry) otherwise the team is like most others.
And the fielding is Hot n cold.

Point is, its not doom as gloom as people make it out to be. We may not have the same talent machine we did in years past but please don't say there is no talent in PAkistan. We still in better shape than Lanka or West Indies. Bangla hasn't shown enough outside of home to justify some sort of rich cricketing history.

We are probably where we deserve to be. A number 8 team that is well capable of being number 5 given a little professionalism.

Certainly isn't doom and gloom, agreed there is work to do - power hitting/strike rotation.

But bowling wise - Junaid Hasan Amir are a good trio - on any surface, across formats, really want them to be given the time to work together as an attack.

Then you consider support will come through Shadab/Yasir or both, and it looks a well rounded bowling unit.

Our bowling is better this match though the pitch is slow and suits are bowling. Better than last match pitch. Though this pitch and performance makes me curse Icc for the 2 new ball rule as without the scores wouldn't go cross into 300 as much and in the reach of our batsman

This is the truth. Fact is these flukey wins do worse than good for Pakistan cricket. Now the terms will come "give these guys a chance", "we only struggle against India" etc etc. These guys will come good once in 15 games and that 1 game will be glorified and remembered to ensure they stay in the team.

Pakistan are 8th in ODIs and they deserve that ranking.

They we downright poor in attitude, planning and application against India.

But today they have been outstanding, just seem a completely different team.

Let's see how they bat now but they deserve credit for a much better display of bowling.
