Windies vs India, 3rd Test, St.Kitts

Ok Guys what did I say about the third test? Any one remembers? I said Gayle is goona go crazy, which he did, 5 massive sixes haha. Now the next prediction was that Lara will score heavily. Inshallah he will, and India gonna loos this match.

Draw the most likely result here. The ICC need to look at it's FTP urgently.

The Indian tour will end in July, and then it's only 2 MONTHS until the Windie domestic season begins again! It's just not cricket.

We have never played cricket so late into the rainy season in SA either, and yet AFTER Australia left, we still had the 3-test series vs New Zealand.

If this continues, we will see a lot more drawn test series.

The Gayle Storm. Hopefully in the second innings or the next test we will get to see a Perfact Gayle Storm

Windies gonna have to get about 550-600, then attack the tired Indians with the ball. With Samuels in to provide some much needed pace they'll have a good chance of going one up if rain doesn't spoil the party.

Though the way the weather scuppered India in the last test you can't begrudge them some assistance from the elements here this time . Though shouldn't be writing them off too early 207 for 1 could be 350 all out and then who knows.

83.6 Patel to Sarwan, no run
83.6 Patel to Sarwan, (no ball) FOUR
83.5 Patel to Sarwan, FOUR, yes sir! it's a four! Short and outside the off stump, Sarwan rocks back, cuts it deliberately between the slip and the gully to the vacant thirdman fence! Its raining fours at St Kitts!
83.4 Patel to Sarwan, FOUR, a chinese cut for variation but the result the same, another four! short of length delivery just outside the off stump and Sarwan goes for a cut, gets an inside edge which takes the ball to the fine-leg fence! four in a row! what next?!
83.3 Patel to Sarwan, FOUR, another one! full, just outside the off stump and Sarwan throws the kitchen sink at it, it went in the air, just past the diving Yuvraj Singh, at short cover, to the fence! Sarwan is turning it on here.
83.2 Patel to Sarwan, FOUR, bang! hooked to the boundary! It was a bouncer that didnt climb rapidly, rose chest high and Sarwan hooked it past square-leg!
83.1 Patel to Sarwan, FOUR, fierce thump through covers! It was full and well outside the off stump, Sarwan rocked back and creamed it through extra cover.

:O

Yawn... another dead pitch... another predictable draw... another batsmen's paradise and bowler's graveyard. I think its just a waste of time and good money. I have a feeling the series might tapper to a lame 0 - 0 draw and india would then rue the missed opportunities in the first two tests to have gone up 2-0.

Patel figures of 20 overs 1 for 107 are at the levels that Sami can laugh at him

yes indeed can sami laugh at this performance by patel!!

i swear patel is ment to be india's pacer who can touch 90mph, he cant even get past 85!!

shiiiit...just got back from my exam and 335-1!

what happened to munaf!?

randy orton is on sky sports newS!!

neway, poor performance by india!

Munaf Patel just got hit for 6 4's in an over :))) Indian pace sensation!

Where is this guy Tupac cus yesterday he was saying Munaf is spot on.
With these figures I wonder what he meant?

MM Patel 20.1 2 107 1 5.30 (8nb)

we played sooooo much better then this wen we were in west indies!

india are going to be nothing for this world cup to come!!

they can forget about "operation Vijay", its useless outside asia!

Going by the over 20 days of cricket played so far in this series, I wont mind accepting Indians are still a very bad travellers (I will adhere to what I said even if they win current or the next test match)
They just don't enough armory to get 20 West-indian wickets. Bowling relies heavily on toss, conditions and Kumble.

We are destroying them.

and beat India :)

I looked at the ICC Rankings, and if West Indies can ATLEAST draw the series, Pakistan will become #3 in Tests! :D

apparently thats his 45th century...deserves a separate thread..whose going to do the honours this time ;)

Unfortunately there is a big dark cloud above the ground and it's raining hard at St. Kitts. So, the play has been interuppted by rains, it might well be a half an hour delay, do stay tuned for the updates.

420-5

Update (1530 local time / 1930 GMT) - Weather-wise nothing much has changed since the last update, it is still lashing down like an Afridi innings :))) and the ground is gradually getting converted to a lake and the umpires have decided to call off the day's play! seen enough I guess.

420..........i like that.

Looks like rain will be winnder here. west indies should look for quick runs on day 3 and declare.

and try to get the remaining 20 wickets!

but dravids wickets are not gonna be for sale i tell u!

looks like a draw so far unless we do something special with the ball first up tomorrow!

hopefully we can buck up, bat positively, and not lose hope. We did it in Adelaide, we can do it again.

.

Only a result if India do something special but not West Indies. Gettign a bit cocky arent we?

i repeat... lynch the grounds staff for creating a nothing of a pitch. two days into the game and only 5 wickets and thanks to the rain, only 400 odd runs. highly unlikely that a result is possible. and i wont be too surprised if another day is lost due to weather. i think we should be playing test matches in the sahara or under a roofed stadium.

One thing I must say, India's inability to get that batsmen, that is if you can call him a batsmen (Chanderpaul) out just shows how pathetic this bowling attack really is. I mean the guys batting stance looks like a monkey on a leash, it is full of technical flows which should just tickle a bowlers appetite, but for some weird mysterious reason they just cant get him out PATHETIC to say the least....

it wouldnt make any difference even if you played em in a forest with that bowling line-up :89: :89:

honestly i don't see them getting 20 indian wickets on this pitch

Windies playing too slowly here.

This current partnership between Chanders and Samuels is:

Current partnership 40 runs, 18.2 overs, rr: 2.18 (Chanderpaul 20, Samuels 16)

What the hell are West Indies doing? Something has gone wrong on the field, 20 runs from the last 14 overs.

What in the hell is going on? Very disappointing stuff.

Manjrekar, Chappel, and Haynes extremely ****** of at this behavior.

Chanders left stranded on 97, I'm very happy. He deserves it.

581 AO, poor stuff by the Windies.

I'm expecting a Sehwag treat. Fortunately i've booked the tele all night so i wont miss a thing. Collins seems to me to be bowling on his pads too much.

What a shot from veeru. Taylor pitches up and is creamed back down the ground. Top batting.

Sehwag again showed, like numerous times before since the Pak series, his inability to play the moving ball when it is pitched right in the channel.
Great bowling by West Indies. First 2 overs from Jerome Taylor were a delight to watch. The ball which Sehwag thought was gonna bounce and hit him on the pads was an absolute beauty. The whole Indian innings did not produce such bowling in last 2 days which Jerome Taylor displayed in the first 2 overs. Munaf Patel, Sreesanth, Irfan Pathan are all bachchaas when it comes to good fast bowling.

Bravo gets jaffer

India 127/2

dravid new man in...

I can't see us getting another 18 wickets but at the end of the day this is India and they are not exactly known to raise their game when under pressure (think Karachi, think Bangalore).

Even a 0-0 result in this series will result in India slipping to 4th in the Test rankings.

Before u made that quote, I ask you: Did you watch the whole day yesterday?... Even though I know you havent, let me put some sense into your head>> Sreesanth had Samuels in knot over after over beating him with Jaffa balls only to see a clueless Samuels keep edging his deliveries into slips where there were on slips present thanks to Dravids great captaincy and eventually edging away into the boundary....Its ok to Bash a team and its players for constructive criticisms etc, but dont Bash just for the sake of bashing cause they happen to be Indian cause it only makes u look real stupid :19:

The only people who are looking stupid at the moment are the Indians

Because you had the WI on the ropes twice, and you let them off the hook.

In 1988 we should have won but the stupid umpires denied us.

You may have won and we should have beaten Aus in aus too in 2003 wasnt for the umpires, I guess you just have to be good enuff to win without the umpring influence either way...

RR - you troublemaker...

You would have won in Aus in 2003 if Ganguly had enforced the follow on at Sydney. Poor captaincy, not the umpires.

OH shitt Now Im looking stupid LMAO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :6:

Taylor to Yuvraj Singh, OUT, Jerome Taylor is on fire here! good length delivery, pitched close to the off stump line and shaping away late, Yuvraj pokes at it tentatively and the edge goes straight to Ramdin behind the stumps.Getting out on this track is certainly a punishable offence and this shot deserves nothing but a firing squad! :))) :))) :))) :))) NOW THERE GOES KAIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFv :O

Hash was spot on...only if Tupac had known what Hash was talking about

Go Hash go :D

oh ****! we're in trouble! lacchu....time to pull out a classic knock!

honestly i don't see them getting 20 indian wickets on this pitch

:))) :)))

Taylor to Kaif, OUT, goodness me! Kaif departs for a duck! slightly short and cutting in from middle and off stump line, Kaif hops back to defend but fails to make contact, ball clips the pad in line with the leg stump and umpire Jerling adjudicates in favour of the bowler, that ball was missing leg by a long way but... India in deep trouble here

Kumble got so many Plumb LBWs denied by this [Edit by Mods: RR - you know the rules - no abuse pls!] and now he is doing this :12: .. Like I mentioned before, you just have to be good enuff to win without the influence of umps either way.....

We need to get these last five wickets by tea. Then there will be an outside chance of us winning the match but I still cannot see us bowling them out again.

India definitely should hang their heads in shame........quite hilarious watching them like this though

the umpires are clearly destroying india here.Damn this is the same umpire who denied kumble numerous legit lbws.

Bad luck india

:108: :108: :108: :113: :125:

DHONI OUT

lbw to Collymore for 29. Didn't see it but according to cricinfo it was going to miss the stumps :)))

Hilarious seeing India on the receiving end of this :)))

COME ON WINDIES!

226 for 6. Kumble in now.....still 155 runs needed to avoid the follow on. Come on Windies, clean them up.
