They are very good and consistent team we need to be at our bestBut good things is we are now facing South Africa and they will have same pressure like india Plus choking history
Bring it on

This is their third final… 2005,2017,2025.. but yes it feels different this time due to consistencyStunning & Absolutely breathtaking!!!!!
This should usher the new era in Indian Women Cricket. More girls will pick up the bat & ball now. WPL will further empower them.

Still need lower middle order batting with some good ARs.This is their third final… 2005,2017,2025.. but yes it feels different this time due to consistency
Can’t believe bengali woman had that strength!

Yes but it was her height..Jhulan Goswami was Bengali?
Healys face says it all....no fixingCan we have a match fixing conspiracy guys? Anyone?
The crowd was amazing today. Fantastic venue for knockoutsNever thought I would see such huge crowds for Indian women's game, hopefully the economy keeps getting better!
Australia caught poorly but their ground fielding was top notch.Clinical and brilliant run chase by India. Congrats on reaching the final
Australian bowling looked average today. Fielding and catching was below par
Disagree! Except for the catch drop, ground fielding was very good from Australia women.Clinical and brilliant run chase by India. Congrats on reaching the final
Australian bowling looked average today. Fielding and catching was below par
Jhulan Goswami was also a big hitter. Can’t believe bengali woman had that strength!
And bowling too, Shreyanka Patil a leg spinner who did well in WPL should have been in the Indian team for this World Cup.The Indian women's team has narrowed the gap between India and the SENA countries, and this will inspire other teams to do the same. This is a great thing for women's cricket.
Fielding & Running between wicket is what we needs to be improved .

iirc India already won a silver in 2022 Commonwealth games.Reminder - there will be TWO Olympic medals in cricket from 2028 onwards.
Even mens team also..Unreal stuff, could never imagine Pak's Women team chasing down that score in any game let alone an ICC World Cup Semi Final.

Yeah but they can become a gold contender.iirc India already won a silver in 2022 Commonwealth games.
Agreed. Out fielding was brilliant but Aussies let thru some 4s in midfield that you expect them to stop.Australia caught poorly but their ground fielding was top notch.
Talk nah. Now where are you hiding?SA vs Aus final. Aus will steamroll their way to another title. I feel sorry for Indian fans who are pouring so much money into womens cricket only to see them return home empty handed again in a home WC.

Shouldn't it be aSurely they cant bottle this now.

smiley....bottler coca cola would be proud of
smiley....bottler coca cola would be proud ofHave you watched the match? India knockout Australia by chasing a record total.nobody cares... please mention a single guy who said that pakistan women will do well????
Move on bruh... watch your team getting knockout at the hands of Australia yet again .

This is where Australia knockout from the tournament.Australia are looking good to win the whole tournament undefeated.

Yeah, but that’s expected - they’re not superhuman, just exceptionally talented. They’re so much better than other teams on most occasions including India who have let themselves down far more frequently including in today’s game.Agreed. Out fielding was brilliant but Aussies let thru some 4s in midfield that you expect them to stop.
Very classy like always. As soon as women come into the equation some incels cannot look beyond looks and other superficial aspects.A couple of these indian players look like men. I hope there isn't any gender-fudging.
So the do or die matches against NZ wasn't important?Mandana another failure in an important game, insane!

Incels gonna incel I guess
Yep, was waiting for the incel terminology to come out. Apparently being a decent human being and not a sexist, misogynist, pig is being "woke". As I said, incels gonna incel. Why so woke, Sachin ?
Not sure what fun they derive in mocking women identity. If someone has boy-cut they have to be men. There is no limit to dumbness.Yep, was waiting for the incel terminology to come out. And then we wonder why india is constantly ranked as one of the most unsafe for women and why women players get molested.
This objectification of women is in the blood of many.

It is also good for the game that there will be a new women’s champion on Sunday
India will not get a better chance than this. Facing RSA is much better than facing Australia or England in the final. South Africa are good but their batting is very collapsable.(69 and 97 all out vs England and Australia respectively in the league matches)
Australia: champions X 7
England 4
New Zealand 1
Which team will join them on Sunday?

Yep, virtue signalling, another incel terminology they use. You use incel terminology in every single post but apparently it's a one time thing. Sure buddy. It was a one-off observation. If I had repeatedly kept talking about their appearances, maybe you might have a case.
Enjoy the victory instead of virtue-signalling on here, u weirdo.
On the day we achieved our biggest world cup victory, the women are being body shamed. That's the mentality of our countryNot sure what fun they derive in mocking women identity. If someone has boy-cut they have to be men. There is no limit to dumbness.
Anyone calling them men. Why do we even focus on that?Who is 'they' ?

And there are many offenders in prison who swear they are never like that and it was a one time "mistake".
India constantly ranks among top 3 among the most unsafe country in the world for women. But point out that objectifying women is wrong and leads to this and you are virtue signalling apparently..
And it's not just india, it's entire south east asia with this mentality. Some of the posts about women cricket online and here is genuinely disgusting.
Don’t forget Shafali Verma. She is like Sehwag. A boundary hitter. Plays aggressively. The power that some of the women cricketers wield is also amazing to see. Harmanpreet's sixes are usually 80m+
Smriti is another power hitter and so is Richa Ghosh.
Pratika Rawal is one of the most aesthetically pleasing batters to watch, either side of the gender divide.
And, of course, Jemima who looks so tiny, so petite, and yet has a SR of 150+ in the final 20 overs.
Amazing talent, as is usual from India, when it comes to batting.
Chill bros. Enjoy the victory.

Don’t take anything to heart on Internet forums. We are all posting stuff without a face attached to the post. So your posts can rub people the wrong way sometimes. Ignore and move on.Victory was fine indeed; shouldn't let the white-knighting simps on here like jnaveen and sachin_fan ruin the thread

I was on social media. Found nothing of sort. May be because their posts don't appear on my feed. Only one thing they shared which came to my attention was a doctored spike image . Who gives a toss about what anyone thinks.Australia Womens team is champion team. They rarely drop catches. So did they drop this game to get better WIPL contracts.
Lot of Pakistanis are claiming that. It's all over social media
Ya.. we can enjoy the victory without accusing team of using "secret males" to win matches. That is the most weird way of enjoying.Chill bros. Enjoy the victory.
Judging someone’s gender based on their appearance and something which has nothing to do with the match or their performance is so not done, bro. On one hand we rue the fact that women are not given enough opportunities/facilities to play cricket and then we have this.Don’t take anything to heart on Internet forums. India wonIndia lost again.

I don't like overreaction and virtue signalling is annoying but it was an absurd comment to be fair. Worse than the mild misogyny was the most boring cliche about women in sports - 'that they look like men'.It was a one-off observation. If I had repeatedly kept talking about their appearances, maybe you might have a case.

Made at the worst possible time - perhaps their greatest triumph, you can see how it might rub a lot of people the wrong way.
Might have seemed that way in your mind. Definitely didn't read that way on the interweb. It was some tongue-in-cheek wordplay .. playing on the age-fudging issue prevalent in India; I quipped this was gender-fudging.
But hey, if you are as humourless as the rest on here, be my guest and take offense lol.
This is why I said we don’t see the tongue in cheek when we read messages in internet. People can easily misconstrue a light hearted comment as a mysogenist one.Might have seemed that way in your mind. Definitely didn't read that way on the interweb.
I don't take offense because it's one guy on a random forum but it was an annoying fly in the ointment of an incredible win.

Dude, if your humor has not landed and others are calling you out, it’s not a ‘them’ problem no more. You should gracefully acknowledge that you missed the mark & move on, not churlishly double down on it.It was some tongue-in-cheek wordplay .. playing on the age-fudging issue prevalent in India; I quipped this was gender-fudging.

Jokes made based on misogyny is misogyny. Misogyny alone is not funny or lighthearted. Whats the punchline? Whats lighthearted about body shaming people? This is why I said we don’t see the tongue in cheek when we read messages in internet. I have seen @RexRex posts before and he is a pretty liberal dude. A definite mistake on his part with that comment.
It was all pre-planned. WPL will 10x and so will the earnings for Aussie players. Evil BCCI struck again. Can we have a match fixing conspiracy guys? Anyone?

It wont improve simply due to biology. Ground fielding and diving forward to stop boundaries is going be very difficult. The Indian women's team has narrowed the gap between India and the SENA countries, and this will inspire other teams to do the same. This is a great thing for women's cricket.

There is no humor in misogyny or body shaming by itself. Whats the joke? Whats the punchline?Forget the internet, there is no humour in the public space in India.
There's an article in the Caravan magazine on this topic called 'The Importance of Not Being Earnest'. It is worth a read.
Did you see the match yesterday? Aussie women seemed faster and more efficient diving than even the men. They were lightning fast, some of the saves were next level including tumbling, sliding, diving etc. I saw no difference with the men team.It wont improve simply due to biology. Ground fielding and diving forward to stop boundaries is going be very difficult.
That you don't like someone's look? Why is it funny in itself?
It’s not a Women’s cricket issue - more a format issue. ODI cricket has become boring across genders - I can barely watch the middle overs of an ODI now. It’s neither fast paced as T20I nor exciting as a closely contested Test match.Geee well done Indian women
Proud of you lot but I am sorry
Women’s cricket is too boring.
Today's match was anything but boring. IT was thrill a minute affair because India had to keep up with the rate. Probably one of the best ODI (Men & Women) in recent times. It’s not a Women’s cricket issue - more a format issue. True that, but mine was more a general commentary on ODIs. That format is losing relevancy.Today's match was anything but boring. IT was thrill a minute affair because India had to keep up with the rate. Probably one of the best ODI (Men & Women) in recent times.
