World Cup 2019 - High quality cricket

Must say that the cricket at World Cup 2019 has been of a very high quality. After a long time, ODI cricket finally seems to have restored the balance between bat and ball atleast to some extent. The pitches have had something for everyone - conventional and a little reverse swing for the pacers , good turn for spinners and this has kept the batsmen honest . Batting hacks have had it tough.

If ODI cricket has to survive and remain interesting, more of this is undoubtedly the way forward.

Agree...it has come to the business end of the tourney and still except two teams (sa and afghans ) all can qualify for the semis ..even still sl has a chance still!!!

Agreed. It has that old world cup feel to it as well. Not much commercialization, no fancy celebrities being interviewed after every delivery. It's just been cricket.
Pitches are balanced like you said and it has made the tournament exciting.
