This year has been end of an era where many chapters are coming to a close. Endgame and GOT gave us final closure to those iconic tales. This year WC 2019 has many plots and twists. This is first WC as far as I can remember with no overwhelming favorites. Further every team have its arc like a character of a great movie/show. Like following:
1. Australia: How will they fare after return of prodigal sons?
2. England: Will the change in DNA since 2015 Bangladesh loss will change their fortunes?
3 India: How will country of FTBs fare in their first WC where bowling is their stronger suit?
4. Pakistan: Will the Phoenix rise again from ashes like in CT 2017?
5.Windies: Will this be resurgence of this former superpower or will it be another false spring??
6. Afganistan: How will bravest cricketers among all fare in big stage??
7.Sirlanka : How their team will unite after the aftermath of "DRACARIS" done by their board just before the WC?
Other then that we will have continuing storylines of SA as chokers and NZ perrinial punching over the weight kids.

On the whole I can surely say that since 03 Ihave never been more excited for WC. What are your thoughts.

Matches in England are always better. This wc should be great (weather permitting)

For once, Pakistan will compete with the bat! This is exciting for me at least

If ICC intervene in curating pitches, I feel England and New Zealand are done for. They have prepared their campaigns in accordance to try and hit 400 in 50 overs

England will blast the odd team out of the park but may lose some crucial fixtures, which I feel they will anyways even if the same pitches are served up to them

LOL. You haven't won a match since Feb. Kuch to sharam karo.

India has been performing amazingly well in South Africa, NewZealand & Australia and you are calling them Flat track bullies. Only Rohit Sharma is a bit of an FTB but pitches are going to be flat in this tournament.

Expecting to be predictable and boring although i want otherwise. India generally gels as a unit well in the ICC tournaments. Wish we had Rohit as the captain. I would have been confident of reaching semi final even without Kohli, under Rohit. He is that good as a captain.

Indian batsmen flat track bullies? In what world do Pakistani fans really live? Kohli alone is better than all Pakistani batting combined.

Bro, I am an Indian and religiously support my team. What I meant was India used to be known as FTBs but first time they are going with best bowling lineup in WC. Their are some chinks in our batting order unlike our bowling.
Further their is no harm in being flat track bully. England are same right now.

Indians were flat track bullies may be 20 years ago. With the arrival of Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Gambhir, Kohli, Sharma, and Dhawan, they have been anything but flat track bullies.

Indian bowling is definitely far better than what it used to be but then the batting has almost always won matches for India. It is Indian batting which has consistently posted good scores in tournaments that has put scoreboard pressure on opponents making it much easier for bowlers to finish it off.

The way a Cricket World Cup should have always been - With all the teams playing against each other.

The 2011 and 2015 should have had Super Sixes or Round Robin format.

The Quarter Finals format makes the group stages extremely boring, not the way a Cricket World Cup, which only has 8 good teams, should be.

The pitches wont all be batting friendly. I am looking forward to the tournament.

But let's hope ICC intervene and matches don't become 350-400 run contest.

England will prepare wickets which suit them i.e. flat tracks. On seaming wickets England can't score more than 250.Ireland nearly beat them in the one day match last week,

the summer of the bat
Every match will be competitive and score board pressure will count

I like the format and teams are strong. Even BD and WI are quite good now.

But if the pitches are like what we saw inrecent series then WC will lose its charm. :/

WCs are only exciting if your team does well and wins games. Hence, i predict this will be a very excitng wc for pak fans.

That match where England were playing a B team.

Of course it will be exciting. Every team has it's strengths and weaknesses. As a Pak fan I am looking forward to it big time so lets get it started. If all pitches are batting friendly it will kill the competition.

Was looking really forward to this world cup but after seeing the heavy scores in the one day games in the England vs Pakistan series, my interest is waning. 350+ scores with only one game being below 350 and that was 340.

I hope it is more like the Champions Trophy as those games were entertaining minus the games rained off for the Australia, Bangladesh and New Zealand group.

It will be great. The 2017 Champions Trophy was very good too, in England. Even balance between bat and ball there.

Weather permitting, this will be one of the best World Cups in a long time. Obviously I Would like Pakistan to win, but I would also like England to win. West Indies being a dark-horse favourite!

The most entertaining aspect I am looking forward to is coming home and watching highlights and postmortems on SKY!

Bring it on!

I should add, despite wanting a team to win, this World Cup is pretty level field. Any of the Top 8 teams can win, which makes it that more unpredictable and exciting!

I just hope we don't see England scoring 400+ in every matches, odi cricket in England has become quite dull over the years
