What's new

Would Saurav Ganguly, Ian Harvey, Douglas Hondo have been frontline pacers for Pakistan today?

Philander is underrated on this forum. He has won his team test series in Australia and England as one of the standout player. He was also pivotal in winning a test match in UAE. He has had his share of success in different parts of the world so deserves to be rated as a SA great atleast.

Very embarrassing this Pakistan pensioners attack, a complete mismanagement that SSA etc are not available or selected.
This attack makes the Pathetic trio of Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali & Sohail Khan look world class.

Anyone remember the NZ dibbly-dobblers from the 90s? Gavin Larsen, Chris Harris, Dion Nash...I'm sure I'm missing a few others.

They could give these guys a real run for their money.

Pakistanis use to mock the Praveen & Vinay Kumars with Sreesanth, RP Singh etc even though Sree & RP were mid 80Mph bowlers.

Its a travesty that now Pakistan attack is like 70cc bike

Lesser weight should be given to South African series wins in a place like Australia. The conditions are quite similar.

Conditions and opposition strength both matters. It doesn’t get stronger than Australia in modern day cricket. Also, Australian pitches are more tilted towards batting while SA pitches are more tilted towards the pacers.

Well clocking 141 and bowling at 141 are two very different things. I am sure if you looked at his average pace even then it was probably in the 120s.

I don't have any footage of Nash from his time. But I would say that he was an early 130's bowler rather than a 120's bowler with the effort ball at 142 kph.

He was definitely at least a level above Gavin Larsen types.

*footage with bowling speeds

Btw, Dion Nash named his daughter “India” just like Jonty Rhodes.

i can understand a dedicated troll thread, and i can understand indian fans enjoying Pakistan flop, what i cant understand is how so many indirect trolls threads started by indians are tolerated on a Pakistani cricket forum.
Just relax mate. Its just fun
On positive note, everyone are accustomed to see Pakistani fast bowlers . Seeing these trundlers unexpectedly we are just hurt and imbalanced and the result is this kind of 'Pagol diwana' like thread

Infact Andrew Caddick, Sajid Mehmood & Ryan Sidebottom were better than this attack
