"You can kind of say that your mindset against such teams like USA, as a team you are a little relaxed": Babar Azam

No not really. Well, I don't disagree that they aren't rubbish but they are not that rubbish to not be able to thrash these associate minnows. This same Pakistan team can go on and defeat SA, NZ, WI as well.

They freeze against minnows because they are scared of losing and the backlash they will receive. It hinders their ability to perform.

What backlash? The teams of years past wouldn't dare to go home if they lost a game like that, did that make them too nervous to win games against amateur teams? The worst the current bunch of Pakistan players get is some criticism on Pak tv by some ex-players, they don't get crowds pelting them with rotten fruit at the airport like used to happen.

If a team like USA make you too nervous to perform then you shouldn't be playing international cricket. It's as simple as that.

You cannot relax when you have rubbish players like Amir, Iftikhar, Rauf, Naseem, Shadab and Azam Khan in the side.

These 6 players are absolute nonsense. Jury is still out on Usman Khan.

Pakistan team is basically Babar + Shaheen + Fakhar, and we know that Fakhar will let the team down 8 out of 10 times, but you still need him because he wins you those two games.

Rizwan is an able opening partner for Babar but he is neither here nor there in isolation.

But if you have a rubbish captain like Babar there is no point having even 10 Babars in the side.

You would be humiliated each and every time.

And to top it off his 7 off 27 balls set the tone against USA for the most defensive knock as an opener in the history of T20.

This man is leading our nation.

Its not the players.

Its the captain that is terrible.

And the results will keep showing it, no matter which 6 players you replace with the 6 you didn't want.

Truth is, Babar is a terrible captain and a mediocre player.

If Babar is a mediocre player than 99.99% of the batsmen who have ever played for Pakistan are beyond before.

You can’t be mediocre if you have the record Babar has across all formats. He is a top player, but he can be better and needs to work hard to become better.

Pakistan lost to USA because the “winner and mentality monster” Amir completely choked in the super over.

In spite of Babar’s slow innings, in spite of Rizwan, Usman, Fakhar and Azam’s failures, in spite of Shadab, Shaheen and Rauf’s poor bowling, Pakistan had destiny in their own hands and the key to the destiny was handed over to Amir.

You can’t lose a super over to USA, especially when you hand over the ball to a so-called big moments player who was specially brought back from retirement to help Pakistan in the World Cup.

Is this what he was brought back for?

I have a serious problem with Babar trusting a washed up, corrupt mental midget like Amir with the super over.

Shaheen or Naseem would not have conceded more than 10-12, and Pakistan would have probably won.

Pakistan knew they were cooked the moment USA scored 19. Many, many batsmen, including the modern aggressive batsmen in other teams whose feet Pakistani fans love to kiss, would feel the heat if they are chasing 20 in a super over.

Amir is 100% responsible for the USA defeat and it will be his legacy forever. This is what he came back for and he is going to regret his decision of coming back unless he can redeem himself which seems very unlikely considering how crap he is now.

He’s just saying cliched stuff because he doesn’t have anything else to say.

Before the game: “You can’t take any opposition lightly. We won’t relax against USA”

After the game: “There is a tendency to get relaxed against such opposition.”

He just says things because he is put in a spot where he has to respond. He has no idea what went wrong or how to fix it.

Unfortunately, Babar is a very low IQ kind of individual. Does not possess any sort of analytical thinking or problem solving skills. We’ve heard his team talk so many times. Same old stuff “okay positive, play with unity, enjoy your game, don’t blame anyone…”

No specific plans. No tangible strategy.

A dud for a captain.

It's not beyond reason that if Pakistan win the toss and put India in, Amir could claim two quick wickets with the new ball. He still gets movement and has pace, it's just a question of whether he can pitch it in the right areas. Exactly the same question at the other end where Shaheen will share that new ball.
