He has been in terrible form. Wont see him doing much that is IF he even gets the chance to bat.

Sehwag used to average over 50. His last year in the squad ruined his Test Average and went below 50.

No offense to YK but I will always rate him below Miandad, Inzi and Yousuf so I guess law of averages has prevailed.

VVS Laxman avgs 46 only but I will always pick him over Yousuf. Irrespective of stats, Younis already has bigger stature than Yousuf in tests.

Stats in cricket are a joke, and one singular criteria like average, centuries, man of the match are more of a joke. Come and talk to me when there is sabermetrics for cricket.

What facts?

I trust my eyes more than cricinfo scorecards and spreadsheets.
For me Pujara's match and series winning 145* against SL on a seaming track is better than all of Kohli's and Rahane's and Pujara's non Asian hundreds. I dont have inferiority complex that only if the knock is played outside Asia I will rate it. Good innings can be played anywhere.

Coming back to Yousuf and Younis, again I will trust more what I saw rather than ending scorecards and also have seen them both playing together for a long time. Yousuf > Younis for me. One can disagree though which is totally fine.

Don't care about the stats but if I have to pick anyone from Pakistan, I will take Miandad, Inzimam, Yousuf, Salim Mlik, Majid Khan, Wasim Raja and Azhar Ali ahead of him for the matches in Asia and overseas. If playing only on UAE, he would come come 4th after Miandad, Inzimam and Yousuf.
