There is always plenty of negativity which can be brought in when we speak about Pakistan cricket but lets focus on the positives shall we?

I will start.

To me the first ball of the PSL in Pakistan early this year was a great moment - showed the world we are fine to have cricket at home - and I loved our crowds in the stadiums until COVID-19 showed up :(

For me it was the test with Bangladesh. They had played hard ball for quite a while and I remember Pakistani fans getting agitated and belittiling them...not knowing that if Bangladesh refused to tour then it really weakened our case.

I think that we have seen some players step up, particularly Shaheen, and it is nice to see him develop well across another year where it has been challenging. Rizwan has also been a great positive.

The biggest positive was being able to play PSL and cricket back at home.

Now we have a big team coming, and inshallah the tour will go along nicely so that we can enjoy the rebirth of cricket at home.

Home advantage is a huge thing now, and it will be a great benefit when we talk about the rise of Pakistan Cricket in the coming decade.

Further progress in cricket returning back to Pak along with PSL happening completely in Pak were the brightest moments. International cricket not happening in a country was the biggest set back in history of Pak cricket so the progress in that regard is huge for the cricket. People often dont realize on how many levels does international cricket not happening in Pakistan impacted the overall growth of cricket in the country.

Sorry to be negative, whilst PSL and cricket coming back Pakistan were indeed good aspects, my main interest is the international side of which there were no bright moments. :ssmith

In fact, it's come to a very depressing end.

Fawad Alam's comeback century against New Zealand today. Sure he didn't see the team through to safety, but I'm pleased for him regardless.

Pitiful pickings, which in a way is fitting for a year that is thankfully almost over.

I would like to amend my previous post. My favorite moment of 2020 was Naseem Shah’s Test hat trick. What a sensational spell, that too dedicated to his late mum. I can’t express how much joy I had for him. I had tears in my eyes, it was heart-wrenching and heart warming all at once, seeing him look up to the sky. Lion-hearted individual, no matter what people say about him. May he see lots of success in his career.

Psl match in which wiese hit six vs zalmi. Was there in the stadium with my fellows and IT WAS UNREAL. Never thought i ll get the feel of a jam packed stadium in Lahore. The stadium was lush. A very good memory indeed.

Definitely Fawad Alam's century. It could have been the 1st test vs England. Even that aside it could have been the expected draw yesterday. It says how bad things are that some people here are considering achievements against Bangladesh as the best moment of 2020 :ssmith

With the caveat that I don't follow Pakistan cricket that closely, it was Fawad Alam's century.

All kinds of feel good, vindication and ultimate success themes for a guy who has to my knowledge never shot off his mouth for being left so long in the wild. And he seems like a nice person too.

Mohammad Rizwan.

I backed him to come good for a long time and this year he finally fulfilled some of his potential.

We have a very good keeper batsman on our hands now and possibly the best one Pakistan have ever produced, inshaAllah.

First ball of first Pakistan-England test in England.

What a moment. Cricket was back. And all was somewhat normal with the world again.

Had we won that test at Old Trafford it wouldve been the best moment hands down.
I would say PSL in Pakistan was the biggest achievement of the year.

3rd t20 vs New Zealand was a big win as we were playing without our best player and still chased 170 against a full strength NZ in NZ.

When Mohd. Abbas clean bowled Ben Stokes in the 3rd test. Sensational delivery that was. Reminded me of Mohd. Asif.

We have been diabolical this year.

Abbas delivery to Stokes was magical. Azhar's sacking as captain and Shafiq being dropped was a relief.

Fawad 100, I haven't cried like that at such an achievement and hopefully the best is yet to come from him.

One positive was Shaheen Shah Afridi. I’m a big fan after this year, and I hope he continues to mature and grow into a levelheaded yet fierce world class pace bowler.

1- I have been a huge fan of Mohammad Rizwan, so It has to be his back to back fifities against NZ and the way he captained his team where he almost managed to get a draw out of nowhere.

2- Rizwan's 89 in the third T20 against NZ where he single handedly won the game for Pakistan against a very good bowling. This again was a very special moment for me as the whole world was against his inclusion in the T20 squad and few of my friends kept reminding me how wrong I was when I said that Rizwan can work in T20s as well :)

3- And everything you guys mentioned in this thread like Fawad's century, Faheem's 91 blew me away, Naseem's hat-trick and of course PSL returning to Pakistan.
