Yeah, because Kids these day's have never seen the good stuff.

90's kids like me actually saw the decline of cartoons happening real time, especially in late 2000's and early 2010's .

There was another "Monkey" superhero in a special segment of Dexter's laboratory , do you remember that one ?

"HIM" was his name. He was written as a Transgender- Character it seems. Very stereotypical to make trans guys as sexually imposing villains.

Creators back then got away with a lot of dark stuff.

That cartoon had tonnes of creepy plots and characters ! You always got a lot of chills watching that show .

Nah I watched it in Malaysia, but whenever I went back to Pak to visit they would have dubbed Pokemon which was always hilarious.

How did I forget Courage the cowardly dog??

Creepy cartoon for its age. Creepiest villain was Katz and his weird theme, it's actually kinda catchy. And that flan guy.

Apparently Ulysses 31 is anime, I didn't know what that was in the 80's then so is Battle of the Planets.

Ulysses 31 8.1 imdb, BotP 7.6, the first French, the second American.

I know of no other anime, but Ulysses has to be one of the greats.

Lots of times viewing summat as an adult as opposed to first time round as a child opens up the view that the programme was made by adults with influences that as kids we were not aware off.

I swear that the people who made The Magic Roundabout and The Tellytubbies were off their heads on drugs.
 
I was always annoyed by the fact that the whole valley of smurfs had only one smurfette.
