I don't think I have a favourite player these days. I like watching Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi.
In fact the only time I ever had a favourite player was when Imran Khan was around.
Shaheen.
Iftimania seems to be the flavour of the day. But who is your favourite at the moment?
“I am so endeared by how through sheer persistence, honesty, hard work and integrity he not only made himself a permanent fixture in the team, he has gotten to the very top of world cricket. He has surpassed his ceiling and then some.
In the process Pakistan possess an internationally renowed keeper, known in households around the world, who still may be a few years away from his absolute peak.”
Absolute rubbish…
He lost his place in the Test side to a guy who was unfairly ousted for his inclusion in the first place
Sarfaraz should have played 70 Tests by now but we had to keep darling Rizwan happy!
What’s your concern with Rizwan the test match player? His batting record is similar to Sarfraz in tests (and FC) and Rizwan is the better keeper which matters more in test cricket than in the shorter formats.
For the moment I think we could pick Rizwan in SENA for his superior keeping skills and utilize Sarfraz in the subcontinent for Sarfrazs superior batting ability against spin.
This. Shaheen is box office, go out of my way to watch him. Bigger fan now that he has started to match Umar Akmal’s career stats with the bat, just needs the green lipstick now![]()
What Pakistan needs is a maverick type of cricketer. Someone who challenges authority, lacks discipline, but is box-office to watch![]()
We had one at 5. but they dropped him because he went to a club…
