Won't be, I can tell you from my long, long years of watching almost every IND-PAK match.
PAK team carries lots of baggage, on & off the field - most of which auto corrects when they take on IND. This is one thing I wrote several times that probably more than Financials, PAK needs lots of matches against IND to clear their inner dart.
More than on the field, PAK crickets biggest enemy - PCB, gets their act together whenever there is an IND-PAK Series happening. Main reason is, a higher post in PCB is one of the most lucrative Autonomous job in PAK - legal/illegal money, fame, media coverage, foreign tours, celebrity indulgence, all sort of pleasures ... you name one, it's there for the PCB officials. Now, these crooks know that having 8/9 Captains in a playing XI or picking 5/6 "reference" players in the team won't shake their chair much - people 'll make noises, few eye washes, couple of sackings ...... things are back to sanity - same people will change chair & enjoy peaceful life ... even if it's for a 0-3 ODI series in BD, a Test loss at Harare by innings with ZIMBOKs losing 4 wickets in total, a Series loss to ZIM at home, couple of Series loss to SRL at home after leading 1-0 at host, losing series to ENG at home in Karachi ......... who cares - 10-12 days, couple of "expert" analysis in PTv; few media whores barking for the right people ...... people will forget & hope for the next time.
But, these crooks are not dumb - they do know that mass people 'll not accept if this such NZ tour was against IND. Sending a half balanced side with a 3 days match in NZ wickets after playing 3 months in UAE dross actually risks their chair as well. I can give some classic examples - 4/5 PAK players went to Packers for good money & they didn't share part of that with the people administrating them - so Imran, Zaheer, Majid, Asif, Mushtaq were dropped from PAK team for almost 2 years; then the 1978 IND tour came, after 17 years IND-PAK series - it took less than 2 days to call all these players. Then the 1989 Neheru Cup - Imran used to play selectively those days & he was looking for a break, until he was personally requested to manage the team in IND's premier trophy. In 1998, more or less PAK team was whose who - 7/8 Captains, players shooting at each other at will, in-fight, betting, fixing, scandals - you name it, thy team PAK. But, among all political tensions, a Tour of IND was scheduled & 3/4 instant changes made - Wasim was made Captain, Inti Manager & to keep Wasim comfortable 2 players were dropped from the squad, who led PAK in previous 2 years - Rashid Latif & Amir Sohail.
Apparently, it looks the teams don't stand closer, which I also thought before the "Ane do" series; but if there is a 5 Test, 6 ODI series between 2 teams; I can tell you that you'll see lots of movement around PAK team & a lot of "confusion", "lack or options", "sake of stability & continuity", "experience" ....... will become quick fix, as if, it was not even a concern, PCB was just weighing their B & C game before the gala event.
PCB people are corrupt, incompetent, egoistic & extremely selfish; but they are not dumb - they do know which side of the bread has the butter. Trust me, I can put my reputation on this - a big series with at least 4 Tests & 5 ODIs against IND every alternate year - PAK will reach in top 3/4 teams in less than 4 years time.
