Mine is to become fitter! Slacked off a bit in 2017 and gained weight but this has to stop!

I don't really believe in New years resolution as I think if you want to change/achieve something, you can't be that dedicated if it requires a new calendar for you to start making that change. But things I want to improve about myself going forward into 2018 are my urdu skills, my posture and my confidence.

I think this is a very popular one, but not sure how often people actually go through with it. :inzi

Wish I had improved my posture a few years ago but... it's too late now. Would have liked adding extra few inches to my height.

Make more close friends :shadab :hasanali
Become fitter and in better shape :shezzy
Regain my swag in basketball :shaq
Become a better poster on PP :sarf

Get 6 pack abs.

Not Naqli 6 packs which show for a month and then go away but real six packs which will stay with me. And yeah, no short cuts. I am 6ft. And 75 kgs, so one can imagine maintaining abs at this weight would require hard work and then some.

Right now i have developed the upper 2 abs better as compared to the lower 4. But they are only visible when i squeeze my guts out, although quite clearly visible when i do it. Going to be a big ask because i am not really known for dieting strictly. Really want it badly.

After a successful 2017, it's time to challenge myself but also be specific in my goals. In terms of fitness, I plan on gaining 15 lbs of pure muscle since I lost a lot of weight from fat. I assume I should get close this goal in the summer months when I truly have the free time to go about. On the other hand, financially, I hope to make enough so I can afford to buy a car myself. :ashwin

Get as close as possible to landing an internship/good part-time job, which I can sustain along with maintaining excellence in studies.

Hate to be that one edgy guy, as I usually hate the person who is the party pooper, but I don't believe in new year resolution pesolution nonsense. If you really wanted to make a change in your life you would've started on it already instead of waiting for the perfect time, i.e. start of a new year, to embark on it.

My new years resolution is to be more carefree, to have more fun, to travel the world, to stay as fit as I am, to pursue my hobbies and to make a ton of money.

Good to find someone with the same mindset as me. It's just a new calendar, nothing changes.

10 New Year’s resolutions you should consider for 2018

It’s finally time for the ‘New Year new me’ trend to kick in and with that, we bring you 10 easy ways, compiled from Newsweek, to make your 2018 more meaningful.

1) Eat more fish

A recent study specified that if eaten every week, fish helped children sleep better and enhanced their IQs by up to four points. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish have also been linked to lower rates of heart disease.

2) Make connections

Health professionals at the Aspen Ideas Festival recently spoke about how an increasing amount of people feel lonely, which takes a toll on mental and physical health. While you can have many friends and still feel lonely, talking about your feelings with others can provide social support.

3) Take a warm bath

A study indicates that a hot bath of 104 degrees could burn as many calories as a 30-minute walk, reported Bravo.

4) Go to bed early

Lack of sleep has many implications including diabetes, heart disease, obesity and depression, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Create a chosen bedtime, set an alarm as a reminder and aim to hit the sack in time to get a solid seven to eight hours.

5) Give up fizzy drinks

This includes all the diet sodas too. While some opt to drink calorie-free beverages for weight-loss purposes, a recent study indicated that people who regularly consumed diet soft drinks were at an increased risk for dementia or stroke, reported the The Washington Post.

6) Don’t eat after 9 pm

Late-night snacking goes against our biological clocks. A study indicates that eating later in the evening could increase your heart disease risk as well.

7) Read

Spending some time with books is good for your brain and according to health professionals the hobby can also enrich your social skills. “People who read fiction may understand people better than others,” cognitive psychologist Keith Oatley explained to CNN. “A work of fiction is a piece of consciousness that can pass from one mind to another and that reader can make it their own.”

8) Eat salad

Having a leafy green salad atleast once a week can do wonders. In a story published earlier this month, consuming your weekly greens can keep your brain up to 11 years younger.

9) Cut down on social media

It’s good to be connected with people but excess of anything is bad. Even Facebook recently admitted that too much time online could be bad for your mental health. Research has shown that children and teens in particular may have lower self-esteem due to social media’s influence.

Try to limit how much time you spend online and replace that with quality time spent networking in real life.

10) Save

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day expenses but saving for your financial future is important. As CNN reported, many people don’t even have $500 stored away for emergencies. Give up on certain luxuries once in a while and immediately transfer the money you saved into a separate account.

Need to hit the gym and lose a few pounds.

Propose to the girl i have been following for months.Gedhiyan bohut lagaiyaan!!

Do something good for Pakistan. I am now at a stage of my life where I have achieved some of my personal ambitions and I no longer wish for the the unfulfilled ambitions.

Now, I want to do something for the people only.

Start by talking more positive about pakistan!!

Stop being lazy & utilize the time given to me and work hard.
Trust myself & not gonna try to be anything other than who i am.

To stop procrastinating. I've realised I really enjoy the process of getting things done and the result at the end is only the cherry on top. This should be the top priority for all my friends on Pakpassion. A lot of us hold ourselves back from achieving greatness merely because of temporary pleasure.

PhD scholarship in a foreign country

Applying for ksa qatar n China hopefully will get one

Going to put my very muscle-friendly genes to test and see what I can achieve in a gym.

Also planning on leaving toxic Delhi. I have already spent last month in Goa and I'll probably settle there for most of 2019. 'Health' is my theme for 2019.

Want to start running again - knee and hamstring injuries meant I had to stop in the last few months, but the plan is to get back into it.

I'd like to do things I use to enjoy more and improve my fitness; it is one of the common goals and am not expecting myself to be in amazing condition but if am better then when I started the year it would have been an accomplishment. Want to also clean my diet, get into a routine and focus on self development. Also want to start and finish a couple of books / graphic novels.

Stop using the snooze button!!!! Going well for the past 3 days, let's see if it continues.

I have a terrible diet eat so much junk food (Chips to be precise), but since I am a big runner my fitness isn't a problem. I am trying to push my beep test score I always quit after completing level 12 or around 12.11/12 I want to get into the 14's. My endurance fitness isn't problem as I love running so it should improve if I run a bit longer everyday but, I can't seem to put any weight on! That would probably be a goal for me to put some muscle on! I honestly hate lifting weights, and going to the gym. Running is something I can do around the block in the summer or at the parks in the summer and on my treamill at home during winter, I like it in the winter as I usually put a WWE Classic on my TV and just run and time just flies by.

My 2 goals in terms of health this year are stop eating so many chips! :)) And put some muscle on! That will probably increase my bowling pace.

Or you could buy an acti fryer or air fryer and still have your chips. Much better than frying :D

That makes sense because you probably burn more then what you consume and when you're running loads then you can eat more carbs as well. But if you're goal is to put on muscle then you have to eat above your maintenance calorie intake and lift weights as well.

Loll yep, I have thankfully almost stopped eating french fries unless I eat out nowadays as they were causing acne as since I have stopped I have no more acne outbreaks at all. I was talking about potato chips you buy from the stores :)) I have a bag right now and am debating weather I should eat it and make it my last bag of the year... :))

That's the thing I hate eating more than like 2/3 roti's a day, I eat loads of fruits and chips though. Guess I am going to have to start eating paratha's or oatmeal in the mornings for breakfast. I almost always skip breakfast because I feel terrible when eating in the morning like I am going to puke everything out.

Lol, best is to stop buying these. I dont buy as much chocolates and fizzy drinks in my grocery shopping as i used to. Because once you have it at home you will most certainly eat it...

Another idea, buy salad or make salad at home and mix some of the chips in it. At least you will be eating half healthy food :P

Yeah, but it's so hard when you walk past the aisle with all the chips and sodas to not pick some up. :))

Just protein bro! Focus on the kukar , fish and gosht allow the parathe and rotiya, that can help big time. And I have the same issue with regards to breakfast as you!

I know :)) All my family members and some desi friends say I'm "kamzoor" I don't think I am that skinny I mean the doctor always says I am healthy, but yeah I need to put some muscle on hopefully this is the year. I love butter chicken as a salan, and kabab's those are two of my favortie things and I eat kabab's quite regularly but gosht is just ughh. I honestly hate gosht, and can never bring my self to eat it.

As far as breakfast is concerned by body will just not let me put anything down my mouth in the morning. It can be my favorite thing in the morning when I just wake up I can't eat it. I can drink lots though usually drink a couple glasses of milk or juice on the morning and have an apple or banana an hour or two later, before lunch.

Pakistan's always tell others they are kamzoor despite sitting their with a big tid hanging out sipping on their chai and munching on biskut while they talk about why they should be in the PM's office because it's so easy running the country but there's too much corruption

Oh dear, sorry to hear about your injuries, I know the pain of injuries, very demotivating. What do you think caused the injury? Did you warm up and cool down before running?

Play more jazz.

Ride 1000 miles / climb 40,000 feet on my bicycle.

Drop to 90 kg.
