Potentially a good team but Sharjeel is most likely gone. Secondly it is extremely unlikely Umar Akmal will play as an opener. Haris Sohail has barely played any games in PSL and is untested and needs to perform in domestic before being considered for selection. Lastly, Mohd. Amir has had a horrible PSL and needs to be dropped.

problem is malik is too weak against pace to bat at 4, at 6 he might as well strike a few. Remember this is still pakistan team, so won't be unusual for him to come in the 25th over.

In the fist game Haris played, he was rotating the strike well. Look he is one of the best batsman in pakistan, we need to take a risk and include him in the side.

You are right. Ideally I would not want him but his PSL performances can't be ignored and since the thread is abt PSL he has to be considered. If you ask me Kamran and Shehzad have been the best Pak openers in the PSL. Fakhar has played at 3 but can be adjusted. The only other guy I can consider is Babar Azam. Play Babar as opener and bring someone else in the middle order but hard to say who tht person can be.

let me ask you this, if Misbah or Afridi had excellent PSL outings would we want them selected for T20 / ODI?

what about Asad Shafiq?

there are certain player with whom (primarily because of their age) it just doesn't make sense to select them to the national team, no matter how good they are

a 35 year old player gives you nothing

Not sure why people are including Umar Akmal in their teams. He flopped in the tournament and so did his team. Nowhere near a professional athlete physique and attitude-wise either.
