Not gonna make it long. Here's mine -

1. Shawn Michaels
2. Bret Hart
3. Ric Flair

What are yours?

Pure wrestling ability

1.Angle
2.Hart
3. benoit

Overall package

1 The Rock
2. Flair
3. HBK

Bret Hart (Sadly after WCW and everything ended up being a whiner)-also the reason i could never like HBK,Austin
Kane (not sure why always had soft spot for him)
Jeff Hardy (kept me interested when i started losing interest because of his daredevil stunts)

Shawn Michaels

Eddie Gurerro

Chris Benoit

Back in the day when I used to watch wrestling Batista was a new name in the world of WWE and he definitely one of my favourite youngsta beauties.

The single greatest overall performer in the history of pro-wrestling in terms of skill , influence , star power , drawing ability , character and mic skills is The Nature Boy Ric Flair; this is universally agreed in the industry among majority of fans, peers, experts, promoters, managers and journalists.

When it comes to in-ring performances, no one will ever surpass Shawn Michaels his resume is akin to that of Sugar Ray Robinson; he was simply incredible and his greatness has been cemented across 2-3 era's.

After these two I could probably make a case for a number of wrestlers but Shawn and Ric's no.2 and no.1 ranking are not in doubt for me.

So I'd like to group a number of wrestlers in the no.3 spot which include Roddy Piper, Bruno Samartino , Dusty Rhodes , The Rock , Hulk Hogan , Bret Hart , Undertaker , John Cena , Stone Cold Steve Austin , Randy Savage , Sting , Lou Thez , Harley Race , Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho.

My personal favourites:

1. Shawn Michaels
2. AJ Styles / Kurt Angle / Chris Jericho

3. Undertaker / Kenta Kobashi / Jushin Thunder Liger/ Samoa Joe/ Brock Lesnar / Rey Mysterio / Eddie / Hollywood Hogan / Sting / Bret Hart / Goldberg / Randy Savage / The Rock / Austin / Kane / Daniel Bryan and probably many others :))

Ok, no probs. Your choice.

:)) It is a top 3 personal favourites list right :yk Kevin Nash wasn't so bad as a member of the NWO he was an edgy character, Diesel wasn't so bad either and Bret who is incredibly critical when it comes to in-ring performances actually has a lot of respect for him; the problem was that Vince pushed him too hard, too early and shoved him down the fans throats a bit much like Roman Reigns at present so it sought of back fired and he has that unique record of being the worst draw as WWE champion which overshadows his career a little bit.

my favourite are

Rock

Taker

Austin

Astaghfirullah, change your pick! Hollywood Rock aka clangin and bangin woke up at 4am with excitement because I was going to bury some mid-card youngster can make the tooth fairy part 5; we don't care about him any more!!! bloody part timer:

nxVy0xo.gif

Change the pick ideally to Kenny Omega w/Dave Meltzer off course as his manager, they come as a package :yk2 Aman

This might be a bit of an unusual pick but another one of favourites is none other then Vince Meekman!! there's not a thing he can not do!!! Markhor

We need to give him a lot of credit for spearheading the attitude era which saved the WWF, were it not for his rivalry with Austin who knows what would have come of the company although WCW were doing a damn good job self-destructing

shaz619 rofl rofl i didnt like Wyatts jobbing to Rock. But was my favourite wrestler as a kid bah gawd the electricity.

my new updated list.

Omega

The Young Bucks

Okada
Aman will approve.

Don't have a list but when I used to follow wrestling my favourite at some point of time was one of the below:

Brett hart
British bulldog
Rock
Brock lesnar

Apart from the above I did love watching Jeff hardy, lita, Austin, undertaker, crash holly, Goldberg, Torrie Wilson, Debra, Jerry lawler, macho man, hulk hogan, razor Ramon..

Might have missed a few names wrestling got boring when everyone quit in early 2000's and when I grew up..

My personal top 3 in no particular order would be:

The Undertaker, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

I started following wrestling religiously in 2003 so my favourites are:

1) Undertaker
2) JBL- A very underrated heel
3) Triple H

All time

1) AJ Styles
2) Eddie Gurrero
3) The Rock

Currently
1) AJ Styles
2) Kenny Omega
3) Naito

Ric Flair is another one of my all time favourites

I must say some of these lists from posters are very interesting :)) Hitman

I grew up a die hard WCW-fan, and hated the WWF. The only WWF-wrestler I ever liked was Kurt Angle. Wrestling died on 26.03.2001 when the last Nitro aired. I followed the Invasion-storyline, but all they did was bury WCW. Stopped watching wrestling - except for old WCW footage on YouTube.

Yeah I agree with the OP.

Not as a worker though ! Vince had three moves - clothesline, choking, and punching.

Yeah I agree with the OP.

That was all you required in the attitude era :)) in fact that could be the same number of moves which the ultimate warrior and hogan had:hafeez2

Bro, he asked for 3 :)))

Bro, he asked for 3 :)))

:))) I just have so many, Styles and HBK are probably my all time favourite but for the no.3 spot I like so many wrestlers in equal measure like miya love Kurt and Jericho as much as Styles. Shawn is my undisputed favourite though that is easier to answer. Maybe we should have a list of wrestlers we hate most as well?

My top 3 most hated wrestlers:

1. The People's Part Timer

2. Dwayne Johnson

3. The Brahma Bull Crap

On all round ability,

Taker
Shawn
Austin

On pure wrestling ability

Angle
Beniot
Brett

Top 3 WWE superstars for me:

1. Shawn Michaels
Mr. Wrestlemania was the complete package. The spearhead of the Klik, great rivalries and legacy, amazing mike skills. He was so big in WWE at one time that he and Vince used to sit down and plan every week card and events. WWE owes him a lot as he attracted a lot of fan following before the attitude era.

2. Steve Austin
He was the attitude in the attitude era. The guys had a unique charisma and machoism about him, he is the reason WWE came on top during that intense rivalry with WCW. He had great rivalries notably with Rock and McMahon. His 3:16 speech is still widely regarded as one of the best live speeches.

3. John Cena
I know most of them hate on this person in this day and age however one must agree that WWE owes him a lot for being there through the last decade and to be fair he the last one from that attitude era left. He was different when he arrived with his rap skills and during that time gave great matches against JBL, Umaga and many others. the reason I rate him is due to his longevity.

PS - Not seen much of Ric Flair in his early days hence did not include him in my list.

Easy to pick really

1. Steve Austin 2. The Rock 3. Undertaker

Package
1. Undertaker
2. Shawn Michaels
3. Stone Cold Steve Austin

Technical Wrestling
1. Bret Hart
2. Shawn Michaels
3. AJ Styles

In terms of wrestling: Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, Ric Flair

In terms of being a legitimate mark: Kurt Angle, Kane, Chris Jericho

My top two never change (Ric and Shawn), the rest are up for debate

No one can touch Shawn Michaels when it comes to ring work.

If there is anyone to challenge him tbh it’s Bret for his realism, the most authentic worker of all time. I have a bias for Shawn also due to his incredible second run which Goldberg robbed Bret off

Bret was incredible for his ring work, but he still can't match Shawn.

Steve Austin
Shawn Michaels
Kane - the backstory was terrifying as a kid :))

I think Austin's run in the attitude area was the most enjoyable spell in wrestling.

Can go back and rewatch it over and over again.

On another note, Shawn Michaels's being my favourite wrestler ever, my favourite memory of him is not any of his extra ordinary work in the ring. It was his shoot on Hogan the night on RAW after Summerslam 2005 :)))

I’m not into the technical aspect. I’m more into the entertainment and storyline dramatisation.

1. HHH

The greatest heel in Pro wrestling history. The leader of all antagonists

2. Goldberg

Probably the main reason why I became a wrestling fan. Huge draw! Greatest, marketable brute in wrestling history!

3. Undertaker

Once in a lifetime character. Easily the most famous and iconic character in the world. The unofficial face of all pro wrestling.

My 3 favorite tag teams:

Hardy Boyz
Dudley Boyz
Edge & Christian

Used to enjoy their TLC matches.

Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko were brilliant too.

Benoit was a scumbag for killing his family. So, I don't think we should add him to any list.

Also, I don't think Benoit and Eddie are at the same level as HBK and Kurt Angle.

Yeah personal issues aside, I’m talking about skill. These guys knew how to tell a story in the ring.

I think Seth Rollins is a pretty awesome in ring worker too

My top 3 cringy wrestlers:
MVP
Doink the Clown
Great Khali

My top 3 fat wrestlers:
Mick Foley
The Big Show
Rikishi

My top 3 cruiserweights:
Rey Mysterio
Tajiri
Gregory Helms.

It's such a shame what Benoit did. He was one of the most respected wrestlers in the industry. Add to that, such a respectful human being. Instead, he decided to flush it all down the toilet by his actions towards the end of his life.

Yeah. I don't think it is right to add him to any discussion/list. He doesn't deserve it.

He killed his young child. A very scummy thing to do.

Nothing can be worse than killing a child. It's unforgivable.

Rikishi was actually quite decent for his size. Always liked him.

Yeah. I remember he once did a frog splash from the top of a steel cage.

He was quite athletic for his size.

I forgot to mention Umaga (one of my top fat wrestlers). He was athletic too.

You would put Mohammad Rizwan as one of your best wrestlers if he joined WWE

Don’t do me like that, this would be my main event mafia:

Sharjeel Manj Khan

Sir Fats aka Sir Fraz

The brothers of obesity would be unstoppable

Benoit was so respected he avoided the shovel of Darth Burius.

Did you find it strange when Hunter and Shawn used the cross face as a tribute to Benoit during their matches between 2007-2010v

Rikishi was actually quite decent for his size. Always liked him.

Rikishi is pretty good but I picked him in Rana top 3 because I know he’d like Sharjeel to use a similar attire and twerk, maybe during Pak games he can do it for every Riswan boundary :yk3 JaDed

I don't know how Foley makes the "fat" list. He weighed lesser than Lesnar.

1. Andre
2. Taker
3. Kane

would be my top 3 big guys.

Cruiserweights
1. Ricochet
2. Rey Mysterio
3. Finn Balor

Don't understand what cringy wrestler mean. Like in terms of having non serious characters or being bad workers?

I would replace Foley with Umaga.

Cringy as in boring and shallow character.

Also, when I meant fat, I meant unfit. Foley is a proper fat guy. So are Rikishi, Umaga, Big Show etc.

I didn't mean big guys like Kane, Undertaker etc.

Rikishi was actually pretty agile for his size.
Vader in that sense would make the best fat guy in wrestling. He could do somersaults with that body and was a very good all round wrestler.

Big Show is probably the most successful one. Andre The Giant the most iconic one. Mark Henry was pretty good as well.

Regarding cringy, I find Keith Lee very cringe with his pseudo poetic promos and stupid facials. And he is very good in the ring as well. He can also make the list for fat wrestlers as well.

Kenny Omega would be my second pick for being the best cringy wrestler. As good as he is in ring, his character and mannerisms are just too stupid.

Psycho Sid would be the third. His promos were comedic gold for bad acting.

Funniest wrestlers

1. JBL
2. King Bookah
3. Kurt Angle

Legends

Best mic workers

1. The Rock
2. Stone Cold
3. HHH

Very charismatic, very engaging. Total control over the audience.

Best non wrestlers/promoters. Wrestling is what it is because of them.

1. Vince McMahon (heel)
2. Eric Bischoff (heel)
3. Paul Heyman (heel)

They are legends in their own rights

Indeed. All three are legends and non-wrestling ATGs.

McMahon is a one-time WWE champion too.

1. The Rock

HHH is very good but I think CM Punk has better mic skills than both Stone Cold and HHH.

Best commentators. You are only as big as these commentators sell you off to the audience:

1. Jim Ross
2. Jerry the King
3. Micheal Cole
