Zafar Gohar vs Usman Qadir for the 1st ODI vs Zimbabwe

Shadab has been ruled out of the 1st PAK vs ZIM ODI on Friday because of strain in his left leg, which means its an opportunity for one of these guys.

Who do you think Pakistan should go with, do they go with a like for like replacement and get Qadir in, or do they select the guy with better performances, which would be Zafar in this format.

List A averages:

While Usman has improved a lot, those List A stats still aren't great. Watching him in the National T20, he got good turn and has good variations, but I'm not sure he has the control for 10 overs.

Personally think Zafar deserves a go over him in ODIs.

Gohar is a better bowler than Imad, but Imad is a better batsman, they aren't exactly similar, Zafar gets a lot more turn.

I dont mind either but I think Zafar has worked really hard across the formats in last couple of years so he deserves a go despite the fact that it will make two SLAs but, Imad is slightly unconventional so they definitely wont be similar to face.

Imad is consistent he will go at 4 4.5 this is very good in this age you also cant say hes better as gohar hasnt played limited overs.in odis you wont get much turn unless it's a spinning pitch which rarely is now. I'd stil have imad in limited overs as he can bowl in the front and in the middle and at the end.

Zafar for me. Usman already ditched Pakistan in past to play for Aus. He is back only because no one gave crap about him over there.

They might go for Faheem as all-rounder. Hafeez hasn't bowled too much in internationals lately, but they could use Iftikhar for the same role.

Qadir will play. If he has the contacts to get into the national side he has the contacts to get into the XI when the opportunity arises. This is Pakistan at the end of the day.

Real shame because Zafar really could do with a few opportunities to show what he can do.

Hafeez has retired from Odis. But yes they might pick a fast bowler instead of Shadab.

Zafar for sure. Usman has improved and is a decent T20 bowler, but Zafar is better, especially in ODI's.
