Azhar is clearly lacking match practice. He probably didn't face a single delivery for a month prior to this series (because of Hajj).

Certainly a worry ahead of the Test series. Hopefully he can regain his touch. He is the second best Test batsman in the team.

Azhar should hopefully be back in form against England in time.
Just wondering on your thoughts on Bilal Asif, do you think he deserves another chance? What do you think of him based on domestic stats?

We should look to rotate strike and let Malik, Rizwan and Yamin do the rest

The trio went to Hajj at the wrong time.

Out of form Azhar, Sarfraz and Shafiq will kill our chances against England.

can someone tell me why chatara is not playing? I heard he suffered an injury but when can Zim cricket get him back?

I think he broke his leg! Commentators were saying that he'll probably be back by the Bangladesh tour in January.

Looked awful, but just one game. Should get 4-5 matches.

Domestic stats are unimpressive but they don't mean much.

We all know how slow Shafiq plays :) he would never go for that in tests

Poor decision by Azhar to play his BFF Asad. Shafiq is not a LOI player and the sooner our captain and selectors realise that, the better for us.

So will points will be deducted and our ranking affected if we lose this match

Sarfraz is doing OK if the last match is anything to go by.

And you can blame it on Hajj only so much. Its not like they were gone for half a year. Not a really good excuse.

Oh that is quite unfortunate.

He was a decent player by Zimbabwe standards. Hope he gets fit soon.

BTW, just looked at the scorecard. Pakistan in trouble. Surprised that they are struggling considering that the pitch flattens out in the afternoon

asad shafiq's supporters in ODIs should jump off a cliff. This guy makes yk look like an ODI ATG.

PCB management keeping sneaking hack like Asad Shafiq in ODI team!!! According to PCB he is still a youngster

Lol Shafiq

Just not an ODI player

MoHa smooth as butter. If he can get his 11th ton, we will be in business.

Shobby, Rizwan and Sarfraz to play the supporting role.

21-3 doesn't really surprise me, I've seen this hundreds of times

Sarfraz has looked a bit lethargic behind the stumps. Have you performed Hajj? it is not easy at all, quite physically and mentally taxing. Besides, they haven't picked up a bat for like the last month or so, so it isn't really an excuse.

Sarfraz is doing fine. Don't over-analyze.

Azhar & Shafiq are a worry.

They should wait for the spinners to come on and then exploit them.

someone please tell shoaib malim that its not a test match, its a one day match. Though most probably he is gonna bottle!

Regards

Not surprised that Hafeez is doing well. After all he has been Pakistan's best batsman in the last five years in this format .

Hafeez has been decent barring the BD series where he scored more than our tail-enders - none of whom got to bat.

However, I don't see Pakistan winning this 245 from 230 balls is a very difficult task. Malik not in great form either. This is the kind of situation where the likes of Inzis and Yousuf would run away with the match singlehandedly

No, I havent.

They are professional cricketers. If they can't handle a month off; then we have serious problems.

Not to mention they have been back for around a week. Plently of time to get over Hajj.

You are far too sensitive over Sarfraz. He is an average keeper but he has looked slower than his usual self over the last 2 matches in spite of one/two decent catches.

Batting has been decent but less dynamic than usual.

All in all, unfair to expect the trio to hit the ground running right after performing Hajj.

They didn't go on a holiday, they were performing Hajj and it is physically/mentally draining. Besides during this time, they were complete switched off from cricket. There are no nets in the open area of Muzdalifah where they could have practiced in ihram.

Very hard to switch on immediately and get back into the grove. It takes some time. Hopefully they are ready by the first Test.

It really sucks to be a Pakistani fan sometimes, such highs and such lows

Pakistan three-down scores
on the tour so far:
1st T20: 29/3
2nd T20: 64/3
1st ODI: 35/3
2nd ODI: 17/3

In the T20's we had Imad U.Akmal (for the second one at-least) and Rizwan to bail us out.

Now we only have Rizwan.

Why Hafeez? He's good m, got unlucky right now that was great fielding. Shehzad, Shafiq and Bilal need to go

Hafeez is pretty much useless to us without his batting, so many better options.

He's been poor in BD and in the domestic tournaments. He only does well in SL weirdly enough.

Why are people crying if Rizwan is batting at 7? He'd be coming in early anyways. Not as if the top order made double tons.

Well on the bright side, our young guns today are in a situation that will test their mettle. Lets see what Rizwan and Amer Yamin got
