I think you'll find the batting is not too shoddy either: 194/9 (50 overs).

2 massive sixes by Mazakadza, And now they're taking the powerplay. They certainly seem to be in a hurry.

36 from 9 overs for the Bonus point

Sri Lanka also have a bonus point

Looks like good bye India from the tournament

45 runs needed in 20 overs :D

come on zimsss get the bonuc point

To get the bonus point they need to chase down the target within 40 overs. Shouldn't be probelm at RR 5+ with 9 wickets in hand.

For those who were crying after we beat Bangladesh and ZIMBABWE 5-0 each in our ODI series' last/2 years back(?)...its no mean feat especially against 'minnows'

Indian team should do advertisements only and fashion shows.. and dance shows .. and blah blah .. things on media :)

some new MODELS for indian glamor world

virat kohli.. rohit sharma :D

thaaaaaaats it ........ 44444444 to end the match :D

ZIM won the match by 7 wickets with some 11 overs to spare :)

got a bonus point

Impressive. Professional. Thumping win. And Zimbabwe have beaten India in successive ODIs for the first time ever. And Suresh Raina had said on the eve of the tour that "team had no weakness". Oh well...!

38.2
Dinda to Taibu, FOUR, Dinda's fascination with his slower ones continue. They can be picked so early and easily and this one has been pulled away to the boundary. Zimbabwe have been clinical, professional and have crushed India here.

Commentary above from Cricinfo including the top part

Match is over, so let the whining begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on, who wants to be the 1st one but wait a minute ---- there is nobody here!!! Where is everybody? helllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooo???

Pretty clinical performance, this one. Won without breaking a sweat; embarrassing defeat for team India.

Zimbabwe have always had some serious talent, it's pleasing to see that the white boys are getting back into the team and making a difference. Hopefully they can get back into Test Cricket in a few years and keep developing. Had it not been for the 'situation' in Zimbabwe in the past decade or so, they'd probably be a solid, competitive side at the moment. They've always produced a bit of natural flair and talent, a more exciting version of New Zealand. If Mugabe would just die and the country could get back to normal/attain normality in-line with the rest of the world, they could be a really good side with the right infrastructure.

Players such as Streak, Flower brothers, Strang brothers, Alister Campbell, Olonga etc etc etc

They were a VERY good team on the brink of breaking the 'minnow' tag and moving across that line, then all the politicial problems caught up and completely ruined Zimbabwean cricket.
Had all these problems not arisen, Zimbabwe would now be MUCH MUCH MUCH better then Windies and NZ let alone Bangladesh.

However more cricket...they can still do it and move forward and i really hope they do

+1

This man is seriously racist and can be compared to hitler.
Zimbabwe can only benefit hughely in being multicultural rather than completely black.
Good to see the white players back in the ZIM squad, they have lifted the struggling team.
After all racism is racism even if its not done by whiteys

LMAO at our bench strength :))) :))) :)))

Can we get a thread title change? Zimbabwe vs "Rockstars Reloaded" after their most recent loss.

Zimbos should gain confidence from beating Minnows like India, hopefully they can compete more against Sri Lanka!

You know, you are one brave soul to stick your neck out.

Would you listen to same whine if we lose to Bangladesh in Asia cup with our bench strength because Yousuf and Younis will not be playing?

But did you say your bench strength is worse than Zimbabwe? You lost both ODI to Zimbabwe because of your batting - specially today's. Let me show ODI ICC ranking for Zimbabwe and Indian batsmen;

Code:
[B]Rank	Points	Batsman Rank	Points	Batsman[/B]
1	819	M.S. Dhoni [B]51	524	H. Masakadza [/B]
4	762	S.R. Tendulkar [B]	55	510	E. Chigumbura [/B]
11	694	V. Sehwag [B]56	508	B.R.M. Taylor [/B]
14	682	Yuvraj Singh 66	488	S.C. Williams
[B]16	659	S. Raina [/B] [B]73	478	T. Taibu [/B]
[B]22	647	V. Kohli [/B] 77	474	S. Matsikenyeri
24	632	G. Gambhir [B]93	436	C.K. Coventry [/B]
76	476	R. Dravid
[B]88	452	K.K.D. Karthik
97	424	R.G. Sharma[/B]

Players in bold played today's match. If you average the ranking of the players who played today, Indian batting ranks at 56 and Zimbabwe's at 69.

No excuses, we have been playing some pathethic cricket lately and Zimbabwe have really played well. Even our bench players should have rolled over the Zim team. BTW in the first ODI we scored 285 so it was not becuase of the batting we lost

Why are you one of the very few ones who sound so reasonable? :)

But then again, we have been playing pathetic cricket for a couple of years now! :(

Yes your bowling is extremely weak in this tournament but 285 is not a very high score in ODIs these days.

Actually we get plenty of chances to celebrate( WC T20 09 win,Making the semis in Champions trophy and this year's WC) on the other hand you indians have been knocked out in the first round in all the tournaments i mentioned above.

Here is a quiz question for you. How long did it take for India to win a test outside India?

So the point is, these celebrations were so common that we did not even care about these ------- because you never beat anybody for ages.

Another thing is that SL also played their young team but they utterly destroyed Zim, so unless India can somehow get some decent youngsters there future looks dark

:) and I know how many PPer's celebrate Indian loss then Pak win.....don't u know??

The batting once again let them down, Karthik is utter crap, and Vijay needs to go back to domestic cricket, wait for a couple of seasons before he chosen back for the seniors team.

Horrible running between the wickets, two of our best batsman got run out. I thought raina was great between the wickets, or is it only when he partners Dhoni?

Zimbabwe played better, they deserved the win. :19:

As I said, you guys used to lose all the time and your losses were almost non-event. Since we just started to lose 2-3 years ago, we are just happy to like your team! ;-)

Not that rare. A month ago you lost all your T20 super eight games as well. :))

Who'd have thought the same title title editing would come in handy twice in a week!!!!

number 2 side in the world ? lol rankings need rectifying

Lol at our effort . . . zimbabwe comprehensively beat us,credit to them. . We didn't play very good cricket did we ,bowling is looking totally lifeless...but i hope this tournament and the last few months of disappointment serve as the wakeup call and our team wakes up puts efforts and our team players realise that playing for india is a little more then partying and playin the ipl . . . It is a pity though that they have to be reminded . . . And for now . . . Congrats zimmo's . . . Cheers (hope you come back to test cricket soon:) )

We've had a lot more to celebrate in the last 60 years then India. A lot more.
