Both teams were chasing totals in excess of 200 tonight, in fact SA's target was 238 while Paksitan's target was 210.

At one stage South Africa had lost 2 wickets for only one run and Pakistan had lost 2 wikets for 5 runs.

In the end SA were only 16 runs short whereas Pakistan lost by almost 70 runs.

Top order batsmen can go early at times, so then it's up to the middle order batsmen to do the job.

Just look at Millers approach today, he just smashed the bowlers with a SR of 225 and then we have the middle order batsmen in Pakistan who were striking at around 100.

We can argue about how slow our openers are, but when they fail the middle-order and lower order have to take the responsibility and fight it out. There was no intent shown today. One of the worst chases I have seen in cricket.

An in-form Killer Miller can turn the game on its head from any position. Seen it several times. Iftikar/Asif/haider are remotely close to that level. In fact not many in the world.

At one time Dekock was on 32 of 34 balls. Has he shown some urgency a little bit earlier SA would have won

ah ok didn't know that as I only checked the final scorecard then yeah De Kock also to blame. Can't do that in a massive run chase.

Iftikhar, Khusdil, Asif are not fit enough to shine Miller's shoes. Miller when set can hit the ball to all parts of the ground and can even hit slower deliveries and Yorkers.

Our so called hitters are very easy and predictable to figure out as a bowler and to set a field against.

It is not just the approach, it is ability to execute the approach. No Pakistani batsman can even dream of doing what Miller did today because they don’t have the ability.

Bavuma has no talent like Pakistani batsmen and we saw what he did.

The key difference between the sides is that South Africa’s real T20 batting starts with their middle order while Pakistan’s batting ends after their openers.

I was surprised at Pakistan's approach. They seemed to have given up too early.

Pakistan should've counterattacked after Rizwan and Babar got out.

You sound like they are capable but for some reason, they didn't do it. Miller is sharing fastest T20 century. Came against your team. You know how dangerous he can be. Infact he was one of the key reason why Gujarat Titans won the iPL title. When it comes to pulling the impossible Miller is second to none. Inform Pollard, Russell, Maxwell are some of the few can do that.

de kock lost SA the match today.

Yep. He demo’d what Rizwan and Babar tend to do at times, and what Ifti and Shan do all the time. Poorly structured innings where you’re batting at an ODI SR of 90-100 for like 10-15 overs and then kick on in the final overs.

I expect a lot more from QdK. He’s way better than this .

Very simple, we have no one of the quality of David Miller (or Jos Buttler, Harry Brooks, list goes on) in our batting. They simply lack the talent, technique and temperament to play like that.

A great point made by some pak tv pundit the other day was. I’m the psl all the batting positions of 4-5-6 are taken by foreign players. That’s a tough spot as you have to accelerate . Need a Pakistani kid in some teams to groom him
