TBH PTI and PMLN both were always in favor of talks with TTP and this mindset was from years. You can find Shehbaz/Nawaz statement on this issue from past too. Kiyani was a different type General i am happy we have someone like Raheel instead of Kiyani because Raheel is the one who love to take a stand Kiyani more cared about his image in public and he was afraid that an operation here will make him and army more unpopular and can backfire otherwise Pak Army was ready for this operation back in 2011.

You pick half. Let me go back to the beginning.

During COAS meeting, Nawaz Sharif met two offers; peace campaign with TTP [Architect by Imran Khan] and military operation campaign [Architect by General Kiyani]. Nawaz Sharif chose peace campaign at a time when peace campaign had popular support due to Imran Khan, hence the promotion of peace campaign started by PMLN after PTI.

General Kiyani might be silent man, but he had been advocating military operation for years.

I just heard someone telling on a News Channel that 2 kids of an Army Major were killed in this school and not only that their mom was killed too because she was a teacher in same school. These TTP animals should be sent to hell as soon as possible

let's leave this PMLN-PTI debate for some other time the jirga which govt formed for peace talks was another story. Coming back to General Kiyani i hope you have seen what his own DG ISPR Athar Abbas said?

http://tribune.com.pk/story/729499/kayani-delayed-the-operation-athar-abbas/

Some paragraph of this article:

“The army brass had decided in principle that preparations will be completed from 2010 to 2011 for an operation in North Waziristan which will kick off the same year,” Maj Gen (retd) Athar Abbas, the former director general of ISPR, told the BBC

However, he added that the then army chief, Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, was reluctant to give the nod for the operation. Abbas answered in the affirmative when asked if delaying the operation was a personal decision of Gen Kayani.

“Gen Kayani thought he would be held accountable for sending troops into North Waziristan. And that is why he dilly-dallied on the operation due to which we wasted too much time and suffered losses,” he added. “The country, its people, the government and the armed forces had to pay a heavy price for Gen Kayani’s hesitance.”

The delay in deployment, however, helped extremists strengthen their foothold, recruit more fighters, raise more resources and develop a network, “I think things have become quite complicated there [in North Waziristan],” Abbas said.

The kids who survived will be mentally scarred for life and will never forget this or be able to get over it. The fear will live inside their hearts forever.

Imagine being 10-15 years old and watching your friends die with gunshots right in front of your eyes by terrorists.

Hell!Thats too good a place.Cut their limbs.Blind their eyes and cut their tongue and then leave them alive to live the rest of their lives.

I am all in for it these wild animals should be given the worst lesson of their life and than let them feel the pain for their whole life.

Sincere condolences Mamoon Hawkeye

http://sydammar.wordpress.com/2014/...a-letter-from-8-year-old-bilal-to-his-mother/

Brought tears to my eyes, must read. Beautifully written.

It was a bright and a very beautiful morning in the city of Peshawar. The mid-december brought with it really cold weather. The usual morning rush hour had started. Little kids carrying school bags which were bigger and heavier than themselves were coming out of their houses. They looked funny but cute. All the kids were wearing those warm woollen hats, gloves and warm jackets. Some were waiting for their vans alongside their parents and crying too. The mothers were , as always, persuading their kids to go to school. Their usual comforting line would be,” Beta, it’s gonna be fun, you’ll enjoy with your friends at your school, and while returning I shall prepare for you a delicious meal.” Some kids were comforted by this, while others were not. Everything seemed completely calm. The Warsak Street was filled with little and big feets making there way to their school, the ill-fated Army Public School. The kids were happily socializing and making plans for the soon-to-happen event which was supposed to be held at their school’s auditorium. Amongst the crowd was a young female, dragging her 8 year old son who did not want to go to school at all. Her mother approached the gate with her screaming little boy. He was wearing a green blazer, green pants along with a cute tie on the white shirt underneath his fine coat. His hairs were quite messy. Still yelling. His mother told him that he needs to be a good boy and go to school so that he can become an educated doctor and save lots of lives. Well, this comforted him… a bit. She bade him farewell and watched him disappear into the thick crowd of 500 students into his well-guarded school. Little did she know, this was the last time she saw her only son alive….

beautiful piece only parents of these kids can understand this pain.

No religion in the world allow it and these animals think they are doing it for religion and GOD.
If there is a god and a religion which supports this i refuse to believe in that.
I still cant believe that these guys killed 100 plus children.

Thanks.

Don't have any words coming out in response here.

Imagine being a parent and you pushed your child to go to school that day while he did not want to..

Poor parent will blame himself/herself for life...Cannot even imagine the burden. I hope all such parents or even other wise have good support system around them....

Can't stop tears. I am just watching my 3 year old sleeping in bed right now. I picked him up from his preschool and then saw this horrible news.

Just saw some graphic photos of the terrorists sent to my phone.

Just impossible to tell from exactly what ethnicity they are from as some witnesses have suggested they were speaking Arabic.

Anyway hopefully we will get more news and information in the coming days regarding that and they catch the perpetrators who planned this attack.

I can't handle graphic images. My heart is weak.

My prayers are with them.

If i was PM of Pakistan, i would have made living hell to TTP soldiers. Suffice to say, TTP will breath freely for the time being until appointed time.

I thought it was a school for army cadets? Is there a nursery there as well or was that just some poor passer by?

I saw some pictures of kids in PP and they looked only 4-6 years old to me. May be facility had army training etc as well.

It has nothing to do with Army cadets and training. Just a regular school for Army children and civilians alike.

OK. I saw some posts about army cadets and misunderstood.

It's a normal school not specially for cadets/training etc but the reputation of the school was very good they have branches in almost every known city of Pakistan.

it is a regular school guys (Army Public School)...the only difference is it is affiliated to the Army so basically most of the kids that go there are kids of Army personnel. They get discounted tuition there and the quality of education and infrastructure is top notch compared to government schools. I myself went to an Army Public School from grade 4 to 8, although I was from a civilian family so higher tuition.

http://tribune.com.pk/story/807768/...chest-osama-told-his-mother-that-he-was-fine/

The student, Osama, told The Express Tribune that his parents could not reach him, since they lived on Warsak Road, which had been blocked for all kinds of traffic. So he talked to them on the phone while avoiding detection from the militants.
“I told mama on the phone that I am safe and not hit, but I had received a bullet right in the chest.”
He added that his friends had been shot, some of them in the face.

It's so hard not to think about this incident for a second. Allah knows how the parents are going through this.
May Allah give them strength...

Nope, an Army Public School. One of the biggest in the city.

From Preschool to GCEs.

From what I've heard students at army public schools are refered to as 'cadets', or at least I know people personally that studied at these schools and refer to themselves as "cadets", perhaps they're just showing off..

Maybe they have studied in cadet college hassan abdal or miltary colleges etc? Because Army Public Schools and Fauji Foundation Schools are normal and the only difference is they come under army and a special discount is given to army kids otherwise they are same like normal school but quality of education is much better than normal govt school in pak

Well a cadet is someone who receives military training and education. Army Public Schools do no such thing so they are no cadets.

guys I went to an Army public school....and I was from a civilian family. The kids going there are NOT called cadets or any military related term. They are just regular kids going to a regular school affiliated to the Army.

Enough is enough, no more.

Time to wipe out these filthy monsters for good.

Destroy them.

Burn them alive or chop them limb by limb and feed them to the dogs.

Never been close to tears when reading PakPassion but this thread is an exception.

I have studied in an Army Public School for 4 years as well and you are right, but some of them do like to call them cadets etc. just to show off I guess.

I just cannot get over this picture.

Look at the anguish, fear and pain on the faces of these two beautiful kids and how the sister has clutched onto the hand of her little brother tightly to protect him even in the presence of the soldier.

Thanks.

Thanks, watching your innocent children brutalized in such fashion is unbearable.

Can't even explain how I feel right now. Why the children? What did they do to deserve this? All those innocent kids with such a bright future ahead of them, taken away just because some retards had a point to prove? Hope those that did this barbaric act burn in hell and those terrorists that survived are punished severely.

Condolences to you Mamoon, must be real tough for you and your family, I will keep you in my prayers.

I'm going to have to keep out of this thread. I purposely avoided delving deep into this attavk as I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it. Had a long cry and vomited my dinner into the sink. May Allah bless the Muslim Ummah, and help all our brothers and sisters suffering and in need.

ALL the Taliban apologists , conspiracy theorists, supporters of blasphemy law, have blood on their hands , media is equally responsible for giving airtime to the degenerates like maulana abdul aziz , if he doesnt get taken out now than all the mourning in the world will be useless , all the crying in the world is useless , it's time for concrete action , kill these b@stards without mercy . Those brutally murdered by these animals are our little brothers and sisters , look how bright and cheerful they look :(. Thoughts with Mamoon , dw44, hawkeye. stay strong brothers.

Condolences to DW44 and Hawkeye as well. Stay strong brothers :(

Along with these subhumans , its the ideology that needs to be destroyed , take out these apologists like the lal masjid cleric , anyone defending the taliban is equally responsible .Some absolute degenerates use ISlam to justify their heinous deeds, Muslims must wake up to the fact . No more poison feeding Medrassahs.Any apologist for these banned outfits is equally responsible .

Eventhough I don't have kids, I have a nephew who is like a kid to me. Even then I will never be able to understand the pain all the parents are going through right now. May Allah give them peace and sabar. Surely, those kids are the divine flowers in the Heaven. They were not only the kids of the nation, but I take them as my own. Condolences to everyone who lost a son, daughter, brother or sister today. May prayers are with you.

Time to wipe of these TTP animals from the face of the earth. Infact, I am degrading animals but associating them with TTP. These people are worse than animals.

Thanks.

Innallilaha was in ilahi raajihoon. Brother we have our political differences but know this my prayers r with you and your kin.

And to all of you who have lost loved ones my heart has broken and will not be put together for a long time.

Every time I see those children I see my own.

I'm praying for you all tonight. Allah set grant them peace and jannat.

And for our enemies well vengeance is coming.

Terrorist is just too kind of a word for those who planned, supported & acted out this inhumane massacre.

Heartbreaking is putting it mildly.

Condolences to everyone affected & esp to the parents of the innocent children. May the almighty help ease their pain & give strength to the people of Pakistan.

Why there is an Army School? What is the point of having preschool, elementary and secondary sections in an Army School?

Mamoon.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Devastated for those effected. Deepest sympathies with everybody. ALLAH help Pakistan.
May he give sabr to those afflicted and bring us all together in Jannah.Ameen.
The only consolation is everybody that has passed 2day is in a better place than this world.
I'm still in a state of shock. I'm bemused and confused as to the state of Pakistan and how any1 can do this!!!

Why there is an Army School? What is the point of having preschool, elementary and secondary sections in an Army School?

It is a public school affiliated with the Army, i.e school is funded from Army budget. It is no different than the other chain of schools funded by Federal Goverment, those are called Federal Govt Public school (aka FG School)

This is just a name which is confusing many people. It got nothing to do with training cadets etc it's just a normal school with branches in whole Pakistan althought the quality of education is much higher if you compare with govt schools of pak. Army Public Schools and Fauji Foundation Schools in Pakistan come under Army not govt.

There was a reprt back in2008 saying Pak Army business are worth $8 billion. pak Army run many businesses in Pakistan not only school but a bank called Askari Bank, Cement factories like Fauji Cement and Askari Cement than they have Askar Investments and Fauji Foundation and Miltary Hospital etc

and they are not funding the school fees is charged to both civilian and army kids but some discount is given to army kids and if i am not wrong free education for those kids whose father died while serving in Army.
