Don't know about that but he should have batted normally and not put that high price on his wicket. Others should have batted around him. It was exactly reverse here.
 
SHould be the last world cup for Sanga, Dilshan, Mahela, Malinga.. What a generation of great players. So many finals !!!

I think you could say the same about Mccullum at this time.
The only difference would be the number of overs. He needs 10 overs to rip apart the bowling line-up now a days.

I agree now they are not so interesting in ICC tournaments eithers but i was huge fan of theirs in 90's produced all rounders at will.

I know that Pakistanis love Amla because of his religion and hence couldn't understand their hatred towards Tahir

But, frankly, this pitch assisted the spinners and he bowled well.
Rubbish shots from the batsmen can't be ignored.
 
Whenever i see Sanga play completely on TV it ends up being trash but when its on cricinfo or something i always see him scoring tons.

Tahir is good now but during those times SC was filled with spinners and most were allowed to chuck as well.Saffers needed a spinner and Tahir was smart enough to realize it was pretty good in 2011 WC and 2014 T20 WC as well.

Four hundreds in a row got to him. You can count on him to deliver in 'normal' pressure situations (like the World T20 final). This was self-pressure. Some players thrive on it - Sangakkara however, to his detriment, is too much of a perfectionist and expects too much from himself. He can't deal with self-pressure.

Amla smashed us in the beginning. He is good.

I'm not an Indian. I was born in Dubai to a Pakistani father and an Indian mother. I'm a US citizen now. I like Cricket along with Basketball. Love Pakistani bowling and Indian batting. Hate PCB and BCCI

Saffers versus Zimbabwe were 131/4 after 30 overs > 339 runs total
Windies v Pakistan were 133/3 after 30 overs > 310 runs
India vs Safrica were 94/1 after 22 overs (SL were 81/3 after 23 when Mahela was out) > 307 runs
England were 145/3 after 30 vs SL > 309 runs
Aussies vs SL were 126/2 after 27 overs > 376 runs

Sri Lanka, from 109/4 after 32 overs had 215-230 well within their grasp if they just dug in for a few more overs and made sure they batted out the full 50.

Yet the people who threw their wickets and contributed the most to them being all out for 133 are being defended while the one guy playing sensible cricket is being crucified?

You lot are all flipping mental.

Even if they continued to tuk tuk for 50 overs with zero intent to cash in at the end they'd have been defending 180-190 and to me that seems preferable to defending 133 but what do I know?
 
I like Tahir. He can just be a doofus from time to time. :yk

Don't care about Aman ki Asha. My mom hates cricket and my dad's very passionate. When India plays Pakistan, she watches and supports India. My Dad and I have been to the Pak vs NZ ODIs (1,2,3) recently and we loved it
