2015 World Cup Result : Sri Lanka beat spirited Afghanistan by 4 wickets

SL vs Afg is the real deal, RSA vs Indi is over rated :akhtar. Can't wait for SL to bat first, set target of 268 and get Afg all out by 140
 
I think there is bigger chance that Afghanistan all out for 60-70 rather then winning the game.

Huge trashing awaiting them.

But I dont think SL bowling attack is that good now but you never know if Malinga comes back in form

Having suffered a heavy in the World Cup opening game, Sri Lanka will look to open their World Cup account in Dunedin against a relatively weaker opponent, Afghanistan. According to the Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews, Sri Lanka are not to take the fast improving associate nation lightly and most likely to field a full strength side. There are also some speculations that the Sri Lankan swing bowler, Nuwan Kulasekara who has been struggling with his form over the past few months will be replaced by the young speedster, Dushmantha Chameera.

On the other hand, Afghansitan are expected to be well prepared against an opponent who has built a reputation for obliterating the lesser opponents in the ICC events. But they are equipped with a more than decent, potent pace battery and will look to give a tough fight to the current T20 champs.

We now need to keep the NRR in mind as those Bangalis got a free point yesterday. :mv Another washed-out match could really screw up our WC plans.
 
If SL bat first I reckon we'll see a carbon copy of the Ban-Afg game.

If Afg bat first I predict Afg all out for 180 or so after losing 3 early wickets and an easy SL win,

Also, what the hell is wrong with Sky sports?? I view this to see Afg vs Sri Lanka, not watch a useless England teams hammering being analysed for the 30th bloody time. Get to the match please!!

Mathews is way better than Ganguly. He used to bowl faster in school cricket days. He got fat and messed his legs up so he is trundling. Mathew is a smart bowler but a big time trundler
 
Afghan bowling pretty decent. Its their batting that looks club level still.

Afghanistan needs one solid batsman whom they can rely on. Some one the opposition need to watch out for.

I think NZ has some of the best climate in the world to be honest. NEVER gets too hot or cold. Around 10 degrees in winter, 25 degrees in summer

Canada is pretty much messed up. I think the temp this week had been around -25 to -8,celcius. In summer its 25,to35 with humidix index touching 9/10. In where in live Toronto, humiditiy is so high that you'll sweet when temp is at 22.

Pretty much everybody lives within 100 km from the cost in NZ. The middle of the country can get quite cold in winter or hot in summer but hardly anybody lives there

In canada most of the people live within 200km of US border and we hate Americans lol
 
Sri Lanka look very very ordinary. Without Sanga and Mahela I think Bangladesh will surpass them tbh. Not once has this partnership looked in danger, and if they last long enough could set a decent score
 
Afghan batsmen showing maturity. I see a bright future for Afghanistan.
