What's new

5th ODI: West Indies v New Zealand at Basseterre, Jul 16, 2012

Very nicely played by Williamson. Definitely the best prospect coming out of NZ cricket.

Where is Adam Milne! He needs to be persisted with.

He hasn't played enough first class cricket yet and hasn't really done anything to earn a spot except bowl fast. He has been working with Shane Bond though and hopefully hes one for the next few years.

Wagner took 5 wickets in an over last year. Ball was swinging a mile. Bowled in Tandem with Steve Finn a lot this summer and took most of the wickets.

Hopefully Milne won't turn into a line and length bowler. He must continue with his pace. Reminds me of Bond!

I don't want to talk Wagner up to much though as Test cricket is a different game and the Windies isn't exactly a seamers paradise. I will be watching him with the old ball though.

Hamish Rutherford, got good stats for a 23 year old. Scored a double ton in his last FC game

Injury prone like Bondy too. Everyone is hoping he can add some swing to his game. Bond was wasn't great just because of his pace he could swing the ball late both ways and more.

Current Kiwi side is pretty mediocre and W.I should fancy there chances of sealing a 4-1 series win here. They should also fancy beating these guys in Test series as well.

I fancy our chances in the test series actually. Under John Wright we have improved in that form.

Son of Ken Rutherford. Big guy and hits the ball a mile. Had pretty average starts untill the runs started flowing in his last couple of games. One to watch i guess.

Vettori
Nethula
Martin
Wagner
Bracewell

Southee has been great since he got dropped and if Nethula doesn't work out then i would include him over boult.

The pace bowling looks good. There's also that guy who took 6 against SA I think....

Yea Gillespie would of been in the line up but he got injured just before the tour. Southee has worked hard though since he was dropped and heres hoping he can actually live up to his talent in the test arena. Wagner would be chosen ahead of him though.

Bracewell is a far better test bowler.

Martin, Bracewell & Wagner would be the main 3 for me. If Wagner doesn't do to well then I'd swap him for Gillespie.

I'm not a fan of Southee the test bowler at the moment. He will improve of course. Right now he's a better ODI bowler.

Right chaps its been a pleasure but ive gota go learn now. Hopefully NZ somehow win this.
