67th 100 Runs Partnership for Younis Khan in Tests

Hes apparently 38 years of age, but I reckon he could still go on for 2 years.

If it was such a flat track, why can't the Aussies score like Younus on it ??? Now don't come with the excuse that Pakistan were more acclimatized to the surroundings, it would seriously contradict your Flat pitch analogy. #JustSaying

Azhar scored a ton
Shafiq scored a 90
Sarfraz scored a ton

If it was individual brilliance of younis then how the hell these hacks scored loads of runs ??

So you're saying that he's capable of becomin an ATG?
His 111 was in extreme conditions imo but apart from that knock, he doesn't really have many ATG type knocks.

He is not 36 he told it mentioned i forgot that he is 2 years bigger than his age on documents.

If he can replicate such performances for another few years against top teams, why not?

However, he does need some more big knocks in Australia, England and South Africa. Quite unfortunate that he missed tours of Australia and England in 2010, which would have presented a clear picture.

30+ hundreds, 10,000 runs, 100+ Tests at an average of 50 are very solid numbers and hard to argue with and it would be put him in a class of his own as far as Pakistan batsmen are concerned but he will be a Sangakkara type of ATG who has amazing numbers but cannot compete with the likes of Tendulkar, Lara, Ponting, Dravid, Kallis etc.

You are right that he doesn't have too many memorable knocks or series which can define him which is why he won't be able to compete with the aforementioned names.

Yes which is why I said his 'cricketing' age is 36. I'm sure he's around 38-39, but that doesn't matter because he can definitely play for another 2/3 years till he's 38/39 in cricketing terms, or even 40.

Misbah isn't 40 either, he's probably around 42 so there is no reason why YK cannot do it but for that to happen, he'll have to retire from ODIs which he most likely will after the 2015 World Cup. He really wants to return to ODIs because he wants to play in one final World Cup.

Agree with this. I said this before to be honest, if YK goes into beast mode for a few more series' he can finish on that ATG level--the same as Gilchrist(the batsman), Sanga, Flower and etc.
He does have some nice scores in NZ and England and its quite sad that he didn't get a proper chance in Aus however even considering those knocks, his 111 vs Dale and co still is the best cos during that time, Dale was at his absolute best with his nigh-unplayable outswingers in full throttle.
He definitely is the 2nd best Pakistani batsman for me and is making a case for Miandads spot too.

He's not one dimensional you obviously haven't seen him craft long innings and play shots all over the park. His 8000+ runs have been accumulated in all conditions and against attacks as varied as quality spin and quality seam. He may be weak against McGrath or warne on particular grounds but nobody has said he's Bradman or tendulkar. He's just going through a second purple patch so let's just enjoy it FFs

If he keeps his form and we have Misbah and Azhar play around him perhaps 10 more test and he can get there.

The rock that Pakistan cricket will miss when he is gone. For years he has carried this team and its frail batting line up on his back.
Does not get the credit he deserves.
He's blamed for manipulating his way back into the ODI team, wanting to play the WC for your country is no crime.
He also played a fine knock in the SA game which was pretty much a knock out game!

Great batsmen for us in this format. Some fools want them to retire. What idiocy. I bet they are not fans of Pakistan. They are just fans of certain players such as Malik, Umar and Haris and want these two to retire so their heros can make it into the test team.
 
Any stats of most 200+ partnerships? Mahela, Sachin, Dravid and Sanga i guess are going to be there in top of the list.
