Jimmy Kimmel is boring this year. Nothing extraordinary. They should have instead roped Ricky Gervais in. Easily the best presenter around.

I was gonna suggest the same but he isn't going to host anything anymore since he ****** off too many of the higher ups by getting tipsy - drunk and handing out phainty after phainty to every super shtar big or small. It's been like that since he owned Mel Gibson I think at an Emmy or something )

I really don't like these filtered out "comedians" like Kimmel and Fake Fallon. Conan is a legend and could've hosted too.

Oscars ceremony as usual was pretty boring, even Kimmel failed to deliver.

I'm getting a bit tired of the #metoo #timesup movement now. It distracts from what the night is supposed to be about, the art of film making. Also, the forced diversity and deliberate recognition and celebration of a minority or colored person is becoming nauseating. Yes there were no female cinematographers nominated before because there were hardly any female cinematographers in the industry or at least that is my impression. Same with movie directors. Why is merit and talent taking a back seat to unnecessary diversity and identity politics, almost feels like its been shoved down our throats.

Thankfully "The Shape of Water" won. I would have flipped if they would have given it to "Get Out" just to annoy Trump. Even though Shape is not without a social message of inclusivity.
