Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Sunday that a small minority of corrupt elements had united to escape the course of the law.
"The government can't fight mafias alone. We can't eliminate corruption without the support of the judiciary," he added.
The premier's remarks came as he responded to a live caller during a telephonic session.
He is responding to citizens’ calls on the number 051-9224900.
"We had asked Nawaz Sharif to submit a surety bond but the judiciary sent him abroad," the premier remarked.
He noted that those who loot the country are showered with petals following their conviction from NAB courts.
"People like us are striving to bring such elements under the law," he maintained.
"We need to change the collective mindset to end corruption in Pakistan once and for all."
PM Imran further said that Pakistan's struggle was for the supremacy of law.
Regarding the third wave of Covid-19, the premier ruled out a complete lockdown, but assured certain restrictions.
Observing that the people were "roaming around without fear", he feared that doing so would pressurise the hospitals.
While speaking to another caller, he said that rise in price of sugar was owing to the corrupt practices of the sugar mafia.
Responding to a caller regarding the increase in incidents of child sexual abuse, he said, "It is the direct result of the increase in immodesty in any country. Obscenity always has its impact on a society."
"Islam sets the rules for modesty for a reason," he maintained.
He urged filmmakers to pay attention towards the issue and develop some content to counter the threat.
To another question, the premier said, "qabza mafia is the biggest scourge for this country. Such mafia colludes with the government to fulfill its designs."
"We managed to get the land worth Rs450 billion freed from such elements."
PM made it clear that he would not take any step to normalise relations with India unless it retreats from depriving occupied Kashmir from its autonomous status.
"Have faith in me, I will never take any measure that will undermine Kashmir," he maintained.
Answering a caller, he said, "I will take measures to ensure that essential commodities are within the reach of the masses during Ramazan."
Earlier, in February, the premier interacted with the public via telephone to address their concerns.
It was the first-ever direct telephonic interaction between PM Imran and the general public since he became head of the government in 2018.
