What has Pakistan achieved. Assuming the claims of fighter jets down is true... We can say that PAF on day 1 under IAF operational constraints got some blows but couldn't protect the terrorists. And thereafter once the IAF undertook SEAD and DEAD..PAF was non existent. All of the Pak attacks on strategic India sites were repulsed effectively though damage happened in border shelling and some drones on civilians areas. No military installation suffered more than negligible damage.

So it is understandable why Pak wants to only highlight jets down. Rectifying no hitting military is easy for Indian air force..rectifying entire country's air defense is harder for Pakistan. Hence the Pak minister was panicking in USA.

India has more depth in the nuclear front with your SSNBs which not even the US can take out on first strike. But I think Pakistan also has sufficient protection to prevent India taking out its nukes on first strike, no neither sides have comprehensive first strike capability.

I also think the BrahMos platform is one of the best in the world as it is a cruise missile that can be launched from air/land/sea and is subsonic with low altitude, so there is really no answer to that. I don’t think even your own S400s will be able to neutralise it.

Pakistan’s only play here would be offence. Better defence with early warning satellite data as well as radar and potentially a more modern Chinese Air Defence system (they are looking to acquire the HQ-19) will be good, but I think even then, stopping a subsonic cruise missile is not guaranteed. India are also looking to develop a supersonic version.

So Pakistan should get their own subsonic/supersonic cruise missiles from China or better yet, get ToT to develop them at home. They are looking to acquire the DF-17 which is supersonic.

Fair but several radar sites as. At least one hq9 was damaged too. One ground AWACS kind of air craft was also damaged. There are evidences or admissions of the same from Pak side for these two along with all that you have mentioned.

You miss the point we are not arguing who won or lost. We are showing a distinction between two nations.


One nation has video images , satellite images. No field marshalling ..cAllign themselves God...silent but strong. Terrorists bombed water stopped ..target achieved.

Other nation has claimed. One two ten six..whateevr number they can dream of number of jets down. No wreckage no satellite image no proof of any claims. The top military spokespeople come and say India attacks Afghanistan and Amritsar...defence minister uses social media as proof. Promotes God to field marshall. Prostrates to real God and recommends Nobel Peace Prize for saving their country from humiliation. Makes empty threats but IWT is done and dusted, Kashmir is done and dusted, and no one is talking to Paksitan about Kashmir least of all India.
