What's new

A thanksgiving note by Australia's ODI team to Indian team - 'Grateful for restoring our pride'

He can only use whoever is on the park is he? If Green is there he would have tossed the ball to him. I never said they are doing " spin experiment". They are just doing some experimental bowling changes like using Josh before 40th over. Using 8 overs of starc before 40th over.

Wth bruh???

You clearly said "They are trying to assemble a versatile batting unit where they have a lot of part time spinners".

Now, you've done a backflip. I'm going to leave it at this, tbh. No point continuing further when you think you know better than Aussie analysts themselves. Have a good day, sir 👍

I think the blessing in disguise for Aussies in this series has been discovery of better options than overrated green

Yea.. lot of batsmen who could bowl. bowlers who could bat. They have been doing that with T20 and ODI format. I have been keeping tab of this development for a while. If you don't understand what i am talking about just leave it. Just listen to experts and live in peace.

Pakistan treats bilaterals like WCs and WCs like bilaterals! Every other team uses bilaterals to experiment, unearth and discard players. We use the WC to experiment. India’s biggest gain from this will be if this loss forces Kohli and Sharma to retire, opening to door for Jaiswal, Tilak etc.

One can take this thread lightly. But then what does the thread indicate? The point is both the country people are happy when the other country loses. Of course while there are ups and downs in cricket, one also knows being an Indian fan or Pakistani fan is tough because the team which we support can anytime disappoint us.

I have been following cricket for long. I am from India. Remembering how things were in 1996, India and Pakistan toured England and each team played three tests against England. India lost the series in England and Pakistan won the series in England and in fact that was Pakistan's third consecutive series win against England in English soil. What were my thoughts then? I was thinking will this gap between both the teams be perpetual? But then what happened subsequently? How is the present situation?

As another example, remembering what happened four years before. On Oct: 24, 2021, in World cup T20, Pakistan won by ten wickets against India in the group match. The players who made this win possible Babar and Rizwan are still in their prime age. Are they preferred players now? There is a thread in which we have arguments against Babar's recall in T20 matches. Rizwan is not selected any more in T20. Rohit and Kohli could be said to be in twilight of their careers and any day they will retire. Sorry for my rants.

Looks like some Pakistani fans believe this Indian team is akin to the all conquering Aussie team from 1999 till the 2007 WC. Come on, we are no where even close. We can lose matches and series like any other team can.

Pakistan fans don't get to cheer much nowadays so they find happiness in India's losses. They are so happy that some are even reacting to same post with two accounts.
